Those are some really sexy accounting credits. And it would be cheaper than going through LSU, though I think LSU's name might hold more weight. I just wish their Foundations of Accounting Certificate of Completion was more substantial.
That makes the TESC BSBA Accounting cheaper, and allows more focus for the COSC BSBA.
I also think it's really strange that they don't give exam descriptions. But like you said, they are still figuring stuff out.

Double-posting here for the benefit of those using the search feature for these exams:
I just got confirmation from the registrar that COSC does not accept the CSU Global CBEs for credit:
"Tedium,
Unfortunately no, we do not accept those Challenge Exams as credit. CSU treats those courses as transfer credit to test out of their requirements, because of this they are not designed to be transferable to other schools. Essentially they are treated as “non-resident credit”, and we only accept transfer of “resident credit”, aka courses actually taken at the school. I hope that explains it properly. Let me know if you have any questions."
Just in case anyone else was looking to use them.

Yep, there is a difference between TECEPs and CSU Global CBEs that I didn't think would matter, but it does. CSU Global CBEs are more like Uexcels, except Excelsior has obtained ACE approval for Uexcels. CSU Global CBE credits are designated with an "EX" similar to how Uexcels are designated with an "X" on the transcript. TECEPs are not ACE or NCCRS evaluated, but COSC accepts them because they are treated as resident credits rather than transfer credits. TECEP credits look no different than other credits on a transcript except that they are pass/fail. The course codes are exactly the same as they are for their online courses.
However, TESC has already confirmed a few times that they will accept CSU Global CBEs. I wonder how Excelsior would treat them.
Sorry for the editing, but I think COSC's line of thinking is inconsistent. They accept FEMA courses from an organization that is not even a college. FEMA courses don't have ACE or NCCRS approval.

Hello everyone,
I am very excited CSU Global has expanded its Competency Based Exams! I have exceeded the allowed amount for CLEP credits so this is great news!
Has anyone ever taken their Political Science 101 Exam? I had studied for American Government's CLEP, but I couldn't take it due to credit restrictions.
If anyone has, please let me know. I have never taken a Competency Exam with CSU.
Thank you.

There is a small issue with the transcript from CSU Global, but I just emailed my advisor and he asked the registrar to send the needed documentation.
Quote:Although, you submitted official transcripts from the following
institutuions: SUNY Empire State College and Colorado State
University-Global Campus credit can not be awarded for the credit by
exam courses. The institutions' transcript does not list a date for
when the exams were taken this pertinent information is need in order
to award credit for courses. Please, contact the SUNY Empire State
College and Colorado State and request an official amended
documentation with dates listed for when the exams taken to: Office
of the Registrar, Thomas Edison State College, 101 West State Street,
Trenton, NJ 08608-1176.

Apparently, they mailed the documentation right away. I'm just waiting for TESC to receive it.

^^ I hope someone can answer your question, but I haven't heard any Excelsior students say if they even accept the CBEs.
CSU emailed the documentation to me rather than mailed it. I asked them if they could email it to the registrar, and they did. I'm just waiting for TESC to confirm receipt. They confirmed receipt of the ESC documentation for my PLA pretty quickly.
