Law Dude,
Thanks for sharing! using CLEP or DSST in another country in order to secure credit there is a risk since everywhere has its particular standards. Since Excelsior deems it a letter grade for the particular DSST and transcribe it as such you'll always have those letter grades should someone examine your transcript in the United States. They are the largest of the big three and haven't been followed in this instance by any other colleges. If I were to transfer my computer certification credits to Canada I would also expect to see them vanish or meet some minor elective credit requirement. I'm hoping you didn't take any law DSST or CLEPs that you were hoping to transfer outside the "jurisdiction" of the college board. It is important to be aware of the effects a particular path may have on our future so I'm glad to know of you dilemma but hoping that you can either increase your GPA some other way or get the chance to demonstrate your skills so that you can reach your goals.
