Did anyone have an issue with the proctor using the PDF version of the book? I am just curious since I don't want to spend money on the real book and I currently have a PDF version of the text.

I used the pdf version during my exam. I had it open when we started so they were able to see it from the start.

Below is the link to the proctoring guidelines, always check the list prior to taking your exam so you know the details. I would also keep the link bookmarked in case you need to refer to it for proof of allowed resources. There have been errors made by the proctors in the past.
NOTE: There have been a few issues/course changes that surfaced with a few members so I would suggest saving a copy of your course syllabus, as well as the proctoring guidelines page at the start of your course. Examples: One member started the course with open book testing and by the time s/he was ready to take the final, it had changed to closed book. Another found that at the start of the course the final was to be part of a cumulative score for all tests taken; but by the time she took the final the grading criteria changed to a separate graded exam that required a score of 70% or better to pass the course. So better safe than sorry, document the requirements as soon as you register for the course.
