Hi all,
This is the first time I'm posting on these forums. I have been reading these forums for some time and it seems like I know all of you guys. For some reason I could not post for the longest time even though I had activated my account (and sending several e-mails to the webmaster did not make a difference either). Anyway, everything seems to be working now.
First of all A BIG and Hearty congratulations to 4dkids & IwannaPass (I felt your pain guys) and now you guys have passed. I also took the test on 3 pm Thursday and passed with a "52", not as great a score as you guys but I squeaked by. I took 4 days off from work to study my ass off (I work full time and have 2 kids). Uptil the end I did not think I was gonna pass but God was on my side. When I pressed the proceed button I was dreading failing this one but I passed. A big thanks to SNAZZ as I would not have studied as hard or had the confidence to pass without your help (nearly everyone who passed on Thursday owes you one).
Well thats all congratulations again to everyone. By the way what was your score IwannaPass?

Stemplar....believe it or not, I got a 53. It felt like a perfect score for me!!! Give yourself a pat on the back. I, also have 2 kids and a husband who is away in Great Lakes for school. I also work full time and in the process of selling my house. Believe me, that was the best 53 i will never forget. The one thing that did help me was to keep telling myself that this too shall pass and it will all come to fruition. Famous words of "Old Rusty Pipe". Congrats again!!!

Hi there,
I still can't sleep (even though I've only gotten 3 hours of sleep max for the last week. Sleep to Study Ratio anyone?). I had skipped about 10 questions with a lot of calculation stuff that made me do a "Linda Blair headspin". I only had 1 minute and 38 secs left when I worked on the last 9 to 10 questions and I think I just took quick guesses. As SnaZZ had suggested I made sure I answered every single question.
I'm gonna get some Zs (even though I still don't feel sleepy but I really do have to go back to work tomorrow).
Nice talking to you. Have a GRRREAT weekend and thanks for sharing your score with me. Again you have overcome a major hurdle and I'm very glad for you, myself and all the others who have come out alive surfin' in the shark infested waters of Principles of Accounting .
Regards,

Hi all,
For anyone taking this fire breathing dragon of a test the best thing to do is not to panic otherwise you start doubting yourself and start forgetting stuff that you've learned. Just don't overstudy or try to cram too much at the end. I know its easier said than done but just do your best to relax (Think that you are not going in front of a firing squad, its just a test). Again just relax and make sure you answer all questions even if you don't know what the correct answer is (I took a guess on at least 10 at the end as I only had a little more than a minute left). I am pretty sure if your try to relax when you go in for the test you'll do fine.
AGS I feel your pain but I know there will be another time when you will get over this hump. I know you probably psyched yourself out (like I was doing to myself when I bawling like a baby about 2 hours before the test but I forced myself to relax before I went into the testing center). Again, I think it also is a little bit of luck on this test specially when you are running out of time.
Hey brownstien there were about three questions about jobcost and process from Managerial accounting and 2 about Breakeven. Just wanted to let you know if you read this. I pray that you pass the test. Good Luck. Just make sure you relax, okay.
Regards,

Well, I got a 60 on it. I really thought I was going to get a 42 or 46, as many if not most of the questions I really wasn't sure of what I was doing, and just guessed based on what looked right. I guess I retained more from that Financial Accounting course than I thought I had. Now I'm drained. I really hope I don't have to deal with anything more than the most basic of accounting in the future...

PRAISE GOD and THANK you to everyone who helped me pass today!!! 55!! Mr. Snazz -- I don't think I could have done it without you. Doing the easy questions and leaving all the math questions for last was the key!!
IT'S TRUE: If you understand most of the concepts and you get good scores on practice test -- YOU WILL PASS.
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey brownstien,
I was praying for you. I am so glad for you. I also passed yesterday with a 52, I guess its good to have someone passing with the same score. Most of the other people passed with a higher number of marks but I must say a pass is a pass. Both of us should give ourselves a BIG pat on the back.
Congratulations on a job well done. By the way I felt like nearly every other question was some type of calculation. I felt that only a few questions did not deal with calculations. At least in my case I noticed that there was a lot of questions where you had to calculate the correct answer (not theory based). What do you think? In the end I was left with 1 minute & 38 seconds to come up with answers for the last 8 to 9 questions that I had skipped.
Have a nice weekend and take it easy. You have scaled great heights today.
Cheers,
STemplar67
