Just finished College Algebra today with 71%, took one week from start to finish...5 assessments, 12 hours in total. First assessment was 67%.
My question is can I start another course right away or do I have to wait for ACE to take the credits? I requested ACE to get them today but I wanted to start Trig tonight at least the initial assessment but was afraid if I start a new one I may lose the College Algebra assessment. Please help!!

Wait until they pull the score or it will be erased. When you switch courses it clears your assessment scores. They should grab it tomorrow. Congrats on finishing!
My completed "non-traditional" credits include 27 credits from CLEP, 30 credits from DSST, 6 credits from ALEKS, 19 credits from FEMA courses including PDS, 3 credits from NFA courses, 10 credits from ACE Workplace Training, 3 credits from a TESC TECEP exam, and 3 credits from a TESC PLA course.

Also, don't get discouraged with ALEKS. I remember a few times I was taking the assessments and I was thinking I'd never hit the 70% magic number then all the sudden an exam would post be like 9 points and they add up as long as you keep learning new stuff. The best feeling is when you see that you made it to 70%, it makes your day instantly!

Thanks ! I know I was so upset on fri when I took an assessment and got 69%. Then I took one today and got the 71%. I was jumping up and down!!! Hopefully trig won't be too bad. Then onto stats.

Hi, I had a question about earning credits through ALEKs. What I learned from this forum is that I can earn mathematics credits through ALEKS, but I am confused now. The excelsior admission counselor says I don't get college credit for this. Please see the below email from Excelsior. Can someone clarify me? The below courses are ACE approved. Has anyone transferred ACE approved ALEKS credits to EC?

ALEKS are study materials and not exams. You do not get college credit from these.
