Were all your tests over 80%?

Come to think of it I'm sure a few weren't on the last exam I took. I think it has to be 80% with them all averaged together.

Back again after a year off working a job that left absolutely no mental energy to spare for studying. Thanks to everyone who digs up these free and low cost classes for those of us who are severely budget challenged! New job, new surge of energy... back to work on my last 19 credits needed.
Does anyone know how the 11 modules divide up into the 3 courses listed on ACE? I did the Cyber Ethics, Cyber Law, and Info Security for Everyone and got my 2 credits with ACE, but am not sure how the rest are divided. (Not that it really matters...with the chance to acquire 6 free credits I have to slog my way through all of them.)
I might mention that after I entered my info on the ACE site, it only took 24 hours before the 2 credits showed up. Very fast!

Just a cautionary tale for everyone here.

These class modules are very glitchy (at least on my end). If you aren't absolutely sure that you'll
get over 80% on the initial assessment, then don't answer anything. If you "pass" the course with
a grade between 70 and 79% it will not let you re-take the final assessment, the class will lock you
out, saying it's been "completed", and that will be it. You'll need to have them re-set everything
and do it all from scratch.

Also, I just took one of the IT track final assessments, got a nice score in the mid 90's. The class
registered as "complete" but never let me through to the end of class survey. It's a glitch in their
Flash module, a simple computer glitch.

I've been playing email tag with them trying to find out if they actually registered my grade correctly,
and so far the three people I've talked to have no idea how to handle these gltiches except to "reset"
the course. Even their tech guy has no idea.

So make sure you PYA on these, make sure your flash player is up to date, and don't submit any tests
until you're absolutely sure that you have a passing grade. From here on in, I'm printing all my final test
screens to PDF just in case.

I guess you get what you pay for. lol

I had this happen a couple of times. Now I Alt+P and save as a PDF whenever I am ready to submit my answers. No more glitching removing half the answers for my exams.

Off to study for the TESC Bus-421 Midterm!

Thanks for posting all this information. I'm fairly new to the forum and trying to find my way around all the different processes and terminology (and also fairly new to the US, so not too familiar with how colleges work with regard to credit transfer!). Am I correct in thinking that even if I'm enrolled at COSC, I need to add these courses to my ACE account and then get them transferred to COSC? Or can they be sent directly to COSC?

well good news and bad news, Good news is that I requested through ACE the transcripts for Cyber Security for Business Professionals (Cyber 301) and Cyber Security for Everyone (Cyber 101) at 4:30ish and within an hour they both showed up on my ACE transcript. So I am guessing that the 80% grade is cumulative. Which is a big relief. Now the bad news is that I still have to finish the other one and get that one transferred over. Hopefully this week. I am worried tho that my cumulative for this one wont meet the 80%. Fingers crossed, I will post again the update. And once I get those on then I will send them off to TESC and see how long that takes and what the outcome is.
