Hi, I'm planning on taking this clep very soon. I've been only using this site for preperation. When I do the flashcards, i usually get around 90% right, and the stuff I get wrong is usually just specific answer ie: answering money, and the answer is cash. I'm feeling pretty confident with this site, but I was wanting to know if anyone here has taken this CLEP and has any advice regarding studying for it. How specific are the questions on the CLEP? How similar are the answers? In general any advice would be appreciated. Thnx in Advance ^__^

You might want to check out Accounting Coach out if haven't already.
Learn Accounting Online for Free | AccountingCoach.com It's a pretty good resource. I took the SL class, so I'm not sure how the CLEP is, but I used Accounting Coach when I was going through and it helped me tremendously.

This test was actually the first I failed, and I had to resort to the similar DSST for the credits, but my problem was that I didn't spend enough study time on formulas and the math side, and the test had more of that than I thought it would. When I focused more on those topics for the DSST, I then found that the DSST had more vocabulary and terms, so I just barely passed it! :/ So remember to know both sides, and remember that the CLEP does have some weight on the formula etc. type things.
If you plan on taking the the Principles of Finance DSST, or another accounting type test, I would recommend getting a BA II Plus Calculator to speed you upon this test, and any others to come.

Wow, this is really a scary thought for me as I haven't taken any CLEP yet and my parents are very doubtful of the program itself. Would you recommend any other CLEP that may be easier to do 1st, or do you think I could pass the test if I studied the math side more?

There are definitely easier CLEPs out there. A difficulty list can be found here:

Of course it will vary person to person. A lot of people take Analyzing and Interpreting Literature to start (It's basically a reading comprehension test with some literary terms). Other people take Psychology or Sociology first for an easy one. If you have a favorite subject or are knowledgeable in a particular area, that's also a great place to start. I'd say if you've studied hard, understand the info, and are getting decent scores on your practice tests, you'll be fine.
If you switch tests, make sure the college you're going to accepts it. If you plan on attending one of the Big Three, don't worry about which one you pick, that's cause they're the Big Three.
