Ok I since Hurricane Isaac was coming through South Florida today, I decided it would be a good day to tackle Intermediate Algebra on ALEKS, well alittle over 11 hours later, I'm at 71%. I just signed up at ACE to have the credits transferred from ALEKS. Fingers crossed it goes over with no issues, I'm alittle concerned because last night I did the free trial and got assessed at 45%, so I signed up today to start my membership and had to another assessment, got a 64%, so I kept going till I got up to 71% (to be safe) to transfer it over, but of course it requested another assessment. I just stopped and went to ACE and hoping I don't have to do another assessment and it will take the 71%. I'll post an update hopefully tomorrow. Stay tuned

Thanks but I don't think the 71% will be accepted, it was actually 64% + 7% learned. and previous threads state that it has to be 70% or higher on the actual assessment. :-(. I retook the assessment again tonight and got 67%....soooo close. I'll try again tomorrow hopefully i can get it to 70% and move on.
These boards are great!!!

i highly recommend you use some sort of software to check your answers before submitting them. It's so easy to make little mistakes on those assessments.

That is certainly against the policy of ALEKS, and would be considered cheating. ALEKS provides a calculator on screen which is all the help you need.

WOOHOO, took the Int Alg test again today twice!! first time 64%, I was getting discouraged. I rested a bit and took it again....drumroll please......70%!!!!! I'm done!! I was sooo happy. Now just waiting for the email that it went through! Now onto study for the Spanish CLEP and also take some FEMA classes. Also, need to prep for the English Comp cleo. I'm worried that will be a killer. I hate to write. Any suggestions???

Wow....I'm getting scared now. I took INT ALG like 30 years ago. I bet it was around 1985 or 86. I don't think I would ever have seen that again in a million years, now looking at the possibility of doing a higher college alg through Aleks. Don't think an assessment would do me any good. The screen will just reboot freak out and say....."YOU BELONG HERE DUNCE! PAGE NEGATIVE ONE"!
(Not trying to short myself or sound negative and I know I need to give it a try which I will once I know what's going down with TESC here shortly).
