I talked to an advisor this week and was told that even if you do not change degree programs, but just change major - that you will have to complete the capstone class even if you were enrolled before July 1st. This is different from the 2011-12 catalog which stated you had to change degree programs to lose being grandfathered under the catalog in effect at the time of enrollment.

Thankfully it hasn't. Apparently there was already a capstone for the BSBA programs in the 2011-2012. The thing is the course, Business Policy, can be completed via a TECEP.

I suspect that TESC is going to change that about the BSBA next year or soon afterwards. It makes no sense to require a capstone course for the BA majors while allowing the BSBA majors the option of testing out, or transferring in a similar course. Fortunately, I should be done with my BSBA by the time they get around to doing that.

Once your grades are all in the system and you pay the graduation fee you might be able to get them to help by writing their confirmation letter quicker than normal. They do send out certification letters once you are approved (months before the diploma) but as far as how soon you can get that would depend on when your courses actually end, whether they have final exams which may take time to grade, and of course how long it takes the mentor to submit a final grade. If you can get everything in the system by January then you should have no trouble with them helping you out.
My completed "non-traditional" credits include 27 credits from CLEP, 30 credits from DSST, 6 credits from ALEKS, 19 credits from FEMA courses including PDS, 3 credits from NFA courses, 10 credits from ACE Workplace Training, 3 credits from a TESC TECEP exam, and 3 credits from a TESC PLA course.
