I will be taking the History of the United States 1 CLEP test on May 3rd, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me about the test and how dificult it is. Also, will the flashcards be enough to get me a passing grade, or do I need to study some different material?
Thanks,
Scott

IC is enough to pass, however, if you are out-of-pocket on these cleps, you might want to study REA books and Peterson's. An IC subscription gets you into Specific Feedback and while there is no discussion of questions, etc, it does give an idea what to study.
Good luck.

I took it today...got a 52...52 is what my college required to pass...
I studied 5 hours on the vids at hippocampus.org and went through the flashcards on here probably twice.
There was a lot of things I forgot and didn't absorb, but if you learn the information there, you'll pass no prob.
Some of the questions are worded awfully - asking to choose the best answer...that's the only reason they were difficult. I used the entire time exactly to take the test and had no idea if I passed or failed.
I'm taking History II next month and will be much more prepared.
