I just found out a nursing program I'm interested in requires statistics. I have a minimal math background, elementary algebra 10 years ago. Is it possible for me to tackle this subject using InstantCert? I don't have time to take a traditional class any advice for one with math phobia?

To piggyback on this, does anyone know if the DSST Statistics exam is "easier" than the ECE exam? It's certainly cheaper! :p

Check out some previous Statistics threads several threads back. I put a nice long post about the exam and study materials. College algebra would be sufficient. Algebra is about the maximum math required. I often wonder how well I would have done using instantcert only. I took my time studying. Let me know if you need further info.

Sammy, thanks a lot, I looked up your post on Statistics and I'll certainly use those videos and book you recommended.
As for requirements, I need to take both College Algebra and Statistics for my BS in General Business at Excelsior. From what you mentioned College Algebra knowledge will come in handy in the Statistics test so I'll take that one first.
