Those science courses will be very useful for people just starting out.

If they keep this up they will have a super cheap effective route to an associates degree. If they complete all these classes it will just be a few more to go. Perhaps they could work something out with one of the partner colleges to award a degree for only straighterline work once they get to 60 credits for just a few hundred bucks on top of SL tuition.

If they can keep the cost under $2000 for all the work required and enroll/graduation expense at an RA partner college can you imagine the industry shock wave that would produce? SL would immediately become the most popular educational source overnight, I truly believe.

Do you think this is doable? Right now they have "your freshman year for 1,000" why not "your RA AS degree for $2000"

Talked to Straighterline last week. Physics I is on hold for at least 2-3 more months and Physics II on hold indefinitely. I was waiting around to take them through Straighterline to finish up my TESC BSAST degree. I guess I'll have to get them done through TESC now. Can't wait around any longer.

The UExcel Physics exam is worth 6 credits- check with TESC to see if that will meet the requirement.

I love it.. I hope they keep adding more and more! This is great news for anyone that has homeschoolers. If you go to many larger schools, these are the type of courses that you would pay big bucks for and end up in a lecture hall with 500 other students. Might as well learn it online for much cheaper and at your own pace!!

Does anyone know if the other new courses are being held back for this long too? I've been hearing "just a few weeks" for a couple months now.

Not sure about the other courses. I've heard "just a few weeks" for a while until last week when they finally said they were on hold indefinitely. At least they are being honest so I can plan out the last of my classes.

That would be a great option, but I'm afraid of trying to test out of a Physics course. I like the idea of going through a structured course with several quizzes. I've done many CLEPs/DSST's in other studies, but Physics scares me.
