bricabrac Wrote:Hi Gmagerr,

Good job. Looks good except for the following two notations.

B. Humanities - 12 credits
Introduction to World Religion - DSST (3)
German Language-Level 1 - CLEP (6)
Humanities - CLEP (3) [partial credit]
You are missing the business/managerial communications requirement.
Swap out one of these exams for either the TESC MAN373 course, PF Business & Tech Writing ENG216 or SL Business Communications COM300.

C. Business Electives - 9 credits
Principals of Financial Accounting - DSST (3) duplicates the CLEP used in Business Core. Look for an alternate. Perhaps another TECEP?
Principles of Supervision - DSST (3)
Introduction to Business - DSST (3)

Thanks Bricabrac,
How's this look? I was originally going to use FEMA credits, and have already completed 6 FEMA courses. Can I use those anywhere?

You changed your core; you swapped Business Policy for Operations Management. Unfortunately that is not allowed, Business Policy (the capstone) is a requirement. You can use the FEMAs for your free electives.

Thanks, I changed it back. What is the capstone? I hear that a lot, and never knew what it was. How does this look now?

Looks good.

Degree Program: General Management, BSBA - Thomas Edison State College - acalog ACMSâ„¢ Scroll to the end of page.

"Business Policy (BUS-421), a requirement in the business core, is a capstone requirement of the BSBA degree. This course will serve to validate currency for all core and business elective credits as long as the completion of Business Policy takes place five or less years from the date of application to the College. If the course is older than five years, the student will be required to complete this requirement, and any other currency requirement, again through Thomas Edison State College’s course or examination in Business Policy, or complete a DOC Application."

Ok, so I have a degree plan. Now what? Do I enroll at TESC and start testing out? Do I test out and transfer the credits? I'm not 100% clear on my next steps.

Pick a class to start studying for from your generals, and start testing out. Don't enroll, until you are mostly done testing.

Also, if you have taken 6 FEMA's they can be used in your free elective section instead of the two courses you have slotted there.

If I fill my electives with the FEMA courses i've taken, can I substitute Personal Finance for Business Mathematics?

No, look here Undergraduate Ways to Earn Credit - Thomas Edison State College - acalog ACMSâ„¢ and see that personal finance is a free elective.
