I will be submitting my FASFA. They ask for assets.
Are there any shelters for my assessment? I have a
very small retirement IRA.

I believe that 401K accounts are exempt, so an IRA may also be except from that asset valuations. I would review their help documents for the best information.

They really want to know if you have one or two homes and things like that. An IRA is fine. Look at the help documents.
