Pardon me while I panic over what is probably nothing, but I settled on two courses from Penn Foster and was about to register when some information came up in a different Google search that ACE evaluations are only good for three years, and Penn Foster courses were last evaluated in 2007.
Has anyone had a course evaluated from there recently? Did TESC take the credits without issue, or where there hiccups in the evaluation process? Lastly, I've considered eventually shifting to an MBA program from a local university. Will a Penn Foster course that possibly expires on the transcript create issues with that? I'm mainly not certain how the process works and am rethinking finding the courses at an RA school.

Look, go to this website and search your courses from Penn Foster College (ACE Registry System)
ACE CREDIT | The National Guide to College Credit for Workforce Training | Find a Course or Exam Type in the Organization which is "Penn Foster College", and all the Penn Foster College courses that are under ACE should appear. HOWEVER!! Make sure you look at the end dates of each courses... Just because they come up on the registry doesn't mean that they are ACE approved. What I mean by this, click on a class in the search and you will see the end dates on the top. Penn Foster courses we're recently evaluated this year as well, some new ones are under ACE and some old courses are not ACE anymore such as Reading and World Civilization (Which still comes up in the Registry system but if you look at the end dates they stopped giving it approval till February 2011) but they are trying to get that back ! So if there is not a end date on the course you are good! Or if you took the course prior of it losing ACE approval before the end date it will still be evaluated on your ACE transcript!
And TESC will take any ACE approved courses as long as it's on your ACE transcript and ACE approved heh...
And your last question , I am confused so I'll let some one else answer that lol. If you are still having trouble with the ACE registry system, tell me the two Penn Foster courses and I'll look them up to see if they are ACE approved or not. Let me know

Thank you! I thought I must be panicking over nothing, given the volume of traffic the name gets around these forums and others. The two courses are Compensation Management (HRM210 > ICS0199) and Finance Management (FIN101 > ICS0152) and both are listed without an end date. I thought perhaps the version dates were when Penn Foster created and offered the course, not necessarily how long ACE recommendation was good for.
As for the last question, it's me getting ahead of myself. I do that a lot. I just want to make sure my transcript is as strong as it can be - given my inability to sit in a classroom with a full-time job and family to care for - so if I decide to get that MBA, I can pick my school without headache.

Welcome and yes! Your good to go! Don't worry you'll find a good MBA program. So much MBA programs out there, I'm sure you'll find one to fit your needs. I work 40 hours a week and like you can't imagine sitting in a classroom. Just like many on this site, lol.
