Does anyone know if Penn Foster still administers the Intermediate Accounting I & II independent study courses? I looked on their website but couldn't find anything.

I only took ACC201 (didn't need 202) it was an awesome course! I kept the book for reference! Same book for both.
ACC201 (ACE ICS-0109) has four M/C lesson exams and non-proctored final.
ACC202 (ACE ICS-0110) has five M/C lesson exams and not sure if final is proctored or non-proctored final.
I may still have the study guide if interested PM your email address.

Awesome bricabrac! I'm so glad to hear that they are not proctored (or at least the first one isn't). How long did it take you to do both courses?

I researched both courses but ended up only needing ACC201; thats why I dont know the method of final exam delivery for the second course. ACC201 took me 5 days to complete.

Oh yeah. Only 5 days??? It takes three months as a TESC online course! Whoa, you're getting me excited...
Just sent you a PM with my email address for the study guide.

Hi bricabrac,
Can you please elaborate on these exams? I don't know anything about Penn Foster College. I want to know how easy or difficult is the exam? How do you register for these exams? And what is the fees?? I was going to take this course at TESC but I came across this thread & I'm happy to learn that I can take this exam without spending 3 months on each course.

You can do a search on the forums on penn foster. There have been quite a few of us who have taken the courses and left feedback.
When I took the course it was $285 (includes textbook & shipping). I really can't state how easy/difficult the course since that is actually relative to the individual. It is not an exam like clep/dsst; it is an online self-paced course. Completion time is up to you, it can be as little as a few days up to a few months. You register by calling the number I mentioned earlier. When enrolled you begin the coursework. The four course exams are multiple choice and submitted online. The final test booklet is downloaded from the site. You answer the questions in a word document and upload it online for grading.
Simple process.

In many instances PFC courses are a great and inexpensive alternative to many students!
