I want to clarify something. I am not leaving because I am offended, it does not bother me at all what people say on the internet, in fact, it rarely ever bothers me what people say in real life.
I am leaving because when you treat the witness as hostile, people will tend to believe that the witness IS in fact hostile. I realize that there is no way I can help anyone if whenever I give my review of IC or my general opinions I not only get lambasted by the board but admonished by the site's administration.
Make no mistake about it, I'm not going away huffing and puffing. I am going away as a measure of learned helplessness (:wink: to all you psych majors out there).
Getting banned was the straw that broke the camel's back. You guys might not like the other site, but I can guarantee you that you will never, ever, be banned from that site for disagreeing with someone and you will never, ever have your posts deleted just because a moderator doesn't like what you have to say.
Please, please, please, I don't want to hear the "DON'T GO!!!!" Yes, I'm flattered, it's nice to know that not everyone hates me, but I'm sure that there are others who already think that my only reason for posting this was to get a bit of an ego boost and have you guys "convince" me to stay. It's probably better not to feed into that :willynilly:
I stand by my earlier posts. I was never planning on being a member of this forum forever anyway, so let's just consider this an early, happy, departing.
(psst... I'll still be back for the I'm Done posts...)

OK after reading your last post MC, I've changed my mind. Your posts sound more like someone wining. If you were leaving, why would you write a "exit post". That just seems lame. I'm sorry, but after reading your replies, I just don't care either way now. Sorry to see you go, but you seem to have an ego problem. Its not that you disagreed with people, but probably how you disagreed with them. Constructive criticism shouldn't upset people.

if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything... Why would you want to say something mean to someone when you can just not say anything...?

I didn't think he was too whiny.
Even if he was, who cares? We all gotta whine sometimes and he doesn't make it habit, so I'm inclined towards sympathy over critique. (I can't stand constant whiners tho.)
Personally, I want a nap but instead am sitting here grading a 9th grade comparative 5 paragraph essay between the relationship between Golum and Sam from Lord of the Rings to the relationship between Ariel and Caliban from The Tempest. And when I'm done, do I get the cherry chocolate chip ice cream I'm craving? No. I get baked ziti. Which will be good and is being cooked by someone else in the house, but still isn't cherry chocolate chip ice cream.
Anyone else want to whine today? Maybe today could be the official free pass to whine once a year day?

Because it makes several forum members on here feel good to bash others. It's a lack of maturity.

@MomOfMany & purpleteen.
IDK His ending posts just seemed to ring that way for me. I've enjoyed reading his posts in the past, and have learned a lot from him, but come on, don't end it that way. I have personally never heard of someone leaving a "hello everyone, I'm leaving" post. I just wish he'd change his mind and stay, but he already told everyone that he wouldn't (no matter how much we BEG!). So I guess its so long. Maybe I'll see you over on degreeinfo sometime.

I don't know if you're referring to me, but I will say that I have nothing against MC (or you). If you think I'm a "basher" because of my first comment to you (I think it had something to do with posting a lot milelol , I'll let you know that that was a joke. If you check out my previous posts, I think you'll be hard pressed to find a bashing post (OK there were a few awhile back hilarious ). I don't direct any derogatory comments to anyone. This is a forum, where you can hide behind a computer (I try think of myself as talking to the person), but negative comments should be avoided.
I'm going to go take a chill pill before the Moderator comes by hilarious
Good luck MC on finishing your degree. I'll race you to the finish (I'm also getting a second degree, a BSBA and BA).
