WGU Doctorate - KSoul - 02-28-2023

It looks like they are putting the feelers out for what should be a welcomed Doctorate program at WGU.

RE: WGU Doctorate - DeanLewis - 02-28-2023

Any context to this? What type of feelers? Where?

The OP includes a link to a survey asking about interest in an EdD program.

Earlier I had posted the email that was sent out to some alumni:

Looks like the link KSoul posted confirms it

RE: WGU Doctorate - newdegree - 03-01-2023

Interesting I wonder how their EdD program would work.

RE: WGU Doctorate - sanantone - 03-01-2023

If they go forward with it, I hope they offer some unique concentrations. There are a million EdD programs out there. WGU is supposed to be focused on in-demand degree programs.

indeed also would be curious to see if they require a dissertation or something different like a capstone or project.

RE: WGU Doctorate - MrPanda - 03-01-2023

In the survey, in ideal price for a year of Doctoral education, I put: USD$ 8,000

For: ideal time of completion for an edD, I entered: 29 to 36 months.

I also priced at $8,000 but for timeline 12-17months to lean toward the VUL/South College timeline.

I also would prefer something like Leadership, Public Administration, and/or Business Concentrations

I'd be intrigued by a concentration in Behavioral Health or Applied Behavior Analysis since they apply in education settings, particularly in challenging settings with kids who have behavior issues, autism, and other neurodevelopmental disorders.
