"University" of Emerging Technology - MNomadic - 08-14-2022 Not sure how I feel about this one. Call themselves a university in their name and on several portions of the site but admit they're not a college in the FAQ. It's an Indian based company. They also are implying that all ACE partner institutions accept their courses for transfer... Quote:Is University of Emerging Technologies an accredited college/university? Quote:University of Emerging Technologies is not a college and does not confer degrees, so it can not be accredited. However, University of Emerging Technologies does offer ACE recommended courses which many accredited universities will accept as transfer credit. Quote:Although University of Emerging Technologies does not confer degrees, University of Emerging Technologies courses can be transferred to over 1,500 colleges and universities that do.Anyway, with courses costing $700-$1200 a piece for 3-6 credits that likely have very limited transferability and fixed pace, I don't foresee many here going for these but thought it may interesting to bring up. Also, they have 2 separate sites, possibly targeted at different geographic regions. https://www.acenet.edu/National-Guide/Pages/Organization.aspx?oid=6545b2d5-5f9a-ec11-b3fe-000d3a34f8e7 https://universityofemergingtech.com/ https://www.emergingtechuniversity.com/ RE: "University" of Emerging Technology - carrythenothing - 08-14-2022 Describing themselves as "a next-generation university" and "USA Accredited" is misleading at best. I don't particularly feel like providing any information to them to find out their partner universities: https://www.emergingtechuniversity.com/earn-american-degree I'd also take a look at the about and FAQ pages for their "foundation" before giving them anything. https://emergetech.org/aboutus/ https://emergetech.org/faq/ RE: "University" of Emerging Technology - MNomadic - 08-14-2022 Quote:Man braid messenger bag affogato taxidermy, yr venmo trust fund palo santo flexitarian. RE: "University" of Emerging Technology - dfrecore - 08-14-2022 I'm going to pass on recommending them to anyone. RE: "University" of Emerging Technology - rachel83az - 08-14-2022 It looks like Dev Ops & Cloud Management is the only UL course they have. Assuming that TESU accepted it as UL, that'd still be cheaper than a course directly from TESU. It's not the worst option, but it's definitely not something I'd recommend to most students. |
