Free Summer or Free Fall ideas? - creationstory - 05-13-2022 Looking for any program for free for the summer or fall. Any help? Anything with the Cares Act? I already did South Texas, but I don't believe they are offering a free semester this summer or fall. I am looking at, https://www.hgtc.edu/academics/academic-departments/arts-sciences-university-transfer/index.html https://www.hgtc.edu/admissions/tuition-free.html No Unionplus please. Thank you so much everyone RE: Free Summer or Free Fall ideas? - dfrecore - 05-15-2022 South Carolina Technical & Community colleges are free this coming year, but you have to be a SC resident from what I've heard. But I could be wrong, this one says "no international students" but nothing about out-of-state. RE: Free Summer or Free Fall ideas? - carrythenothing - 05-15-2022 I'm not going to check every college in the system, but Greenville Technical College is including DACA and international students in its offer: https://www.gvltec.edu/why_GTC/zero-tuition.htm Schools in the SC Technical College System: https://www.sctechsystem.com/colleges.html Edit: "Transient Visiting Student registration" is not covered by Greenville Technical College. Some are just for SC residents. Are these all RA Schools? THANX!!!! RE: Free Summer or Free Fall ideas? - bjcheung77 - 05-29-2022 midnite123 Wrote:Free Tuition is Great!!! I assume so, haven't checked, not sure which school you're referring to either. Having said that, it may be easier, faster for you to just click the schools in question and their "accreditation" links to get the details. If you don't get an answer, instead of waiting for a reply, you can report back what you find. The tech ones (all in the same system) and the others (Community Colleges) all had .edu domains. So I presume all are RA. I'm sure there's no pre-2001, unaccredited "grandfather" .edu sites here. Community Colleges are RA by definition. (They can lose it, of course but that's pretty rare.) I think You can assume for now that they all are - and double-check the site on any that interest you, before you enrol. Oops! Sorry. Just realized dfrecore beat me to it. Rule 1 - dfrecore is always right. Rule 2 - if in doubt, refer to rule 1 RE: Free Summer or Free Fall ideas? - Jonathan Whatley - 05-30-2022 (05-29-2022, 08:15 PM)Johann Wrote: Community Colleges are RA by definition. Mostly. There are community colleges that are NA with the Council on Occupational Education; originally an operating unit of the regional accreditor SACS, the COA became an independent national accreditor in 1995. Now, if you could just tell my family this!! Also, I only happen to know because we now live in SC. So I know the CC system here. |
