International Student Advice - joebloggs - 07-16-2021 Im from the Uk and Currently hold a BA (Hons) in History & Politics and also a Master of Science in a very niche subject as well as another qualification in a different subject that is roughly equivalent to an Associates degree in the USA , during covid I started taking some Sophia courses just to help pass the time during our many lockdowns and furloughs, Ive now got interested in potentially transferring those Sophia course into partly doing the BABA - Managment & Leadership Concentration partly for self development as well as to increase my current qualifications & employment prospects in my current role but I thought it may also be useful to have an American degree if I ever do emigrate to the USA which is one of my long term goals, I know this is a very niche question but would appreciate any first hand knowledge of the process for international students especially those who already hold degrees in different subjects. I am unable to phone on the number provided on website due to being out of the USA and my phone contract having very expensive international calls and can’t find an email address to ask these specific questions. Any help appreciated. RE: International Student Advice - rachel83az - 07-16-2021 I would suggest getting a US phone number from Google Voice, Dingtone, or TextFree. These range from free to extremely cheap. This would allow you to call UMPI directly to ask your questions. I don't think they're in the office today because it's still summer but they should be available on Monday. International Student Advice - Kab - 07-16-2021 Skype work wonders. Not expensive to use. I think with your degrees and experience, you could do the UMPI fairly quickly and be in same price range as doing a US undergrad in https://www.umpi.edu/yourpace/maol/ RE: International Student Advice - ss20ts - 07-16-2021 (07-16-2021, 09:10 AM)cerich67 Wrote: Why not do a masters? The BA is $1400 per term and MA is $2000 per term. RE: International Student Advice - portia8 - 07-16-2021 I'm a dual British citizen based in South Africa and I did my entire bachelor with UMPI from South Africa. I never needed any sort of American number as I kept my correspondence with UMPI entirely through email and had no issue. Hope it all works out for you. Is there a public available email for people who aren’t yet students but considering becoming that I’m missing somewhere on the website? That would solve a lot of the issues in terms of contact. They asked if I wanted to do a call during the application process but I explained my international status and there was no issue.(07-16-2021, 09:28 AM)portia8 Wrote: I'm a dual British citizen based in South Africa and I did my entire bachelor with UMPI from South Africa.
