upper level advice - mdel210201 - 12-23-2020 Hey all, So i heard back from my mentor at Empire State University and it looks like I could potentially only need some upper level requirements to obtain my Bachelors. After a back and forth with my mentor and explaining each of my million transcripts this looks like my verdict. Here is what my mentor sent me. Looks like I need these three areas in upper level to complete my degree. Does anyone happen to know where I can obtain these classes non traditionally. They have taken lots of my credits from fema, ace, etc.. As always thanks all, Mike Quote:Michael, I consulted with a colleague in Public Affairs and she gave some recommendations for the guidelines you need to meet. You need to meet 31 credits at ESC, you have 26 already. However, you need 45 advanced level credits and you have 34. Classes you need to take: RE: upper level advice - rachel83az - 12-23-2020 Are you sure you need UPPER LEVEL credits? Intro to Sociology and Intro to Stats are LOWER LEVEL courses. Sophia.org has Ethics, Sociology, and Statistics. But if these actually need to be UL credits then I'm not sure where to look. Normally LL would be fine but if I complete these classes as upper level I would kill two birds with one stone since I need to meet these requirements as well as need 11 upper level credits. RE: upper level advice - ss20ts - 12-23-2020 Have you found out how many credits you must complete at ESC? I would check on that before looking anywhere else. You would also need to confirm that they will accept ACE credits and each specific source of credit such as Sophia or Study.com. When I applied to ESC last summer, they were not generous with ACE credits. Maybe that has changed. What did they not accept and what degree were you applying for? |
