Weird interview questions - Sparklette - 03-16-2018 Seriously, today I was asked to “explain peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to an extraterrestrial.” What are some strange questions you’ve run across in interviews? RE: Weird interview questions - Ideas - 03-16-2018 Hm ![]() I think they try to add some unusual ones, because people have been training for lots of normal questions. RE: Weird interview questions - mudball - 03-16-2018 Reminded me of this. My son took this class. Go to minute 13:20 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UuFWYOnHwGM Kind of a silly interview question, but maybe to see how well you can describe something to someone who knows absolutely nothing about the topic. RE: Weird interview questions - Sparklette - 03-16-2018 I had no issues answering. I talked about it for maybe ten minutes. They either think I’m really detail oriented or prone to complicating simple concepts. I gave in depth discussions of the components, possible issues with comprehension, and the basic algorithm for creating a pbj along with general perceptions and clarifications of where it was popular. I didn’t realize I knew so much about it! Ha! RE: Weird interview questions - dfrecore - 03-16-2018 I HATE peanut butter, including the smell (I'm gagging thinking about it), so that would be a terrible question to have to answer! "Yes" "It's an edible thing made of bread (a flat and fluffy derivative of seeds), peanut butter, a semisolid mash of peanuts (a type of seed), and jelly, a semisolid mash of a type of fruit." To answer your question, I had a phone interview where I was asked, "How would you repair a Jeep on Mars." I responded, "The same way you'd repair it on Earth, minus AutoZone" RE: Weird interview questions - studyandpass5 - 03-20-2018 For my first interview EVER, I got asked "If you could be an animal, what would you choose and why?" WHAT??? Who asks that for a part-time, seasonal, retail job?? RE: Weird interview questions - jsd - 03-20-2018 "I would be an employed animal because I need a job." RE: Weird interview questions - MrBossmanJr - 03-20-2018 Ahahahaha, that's a good one.
