WGU second bachelors? - Kaskadian - 01-29-2017 Hey everyone, I graduated last year from TESU with a bachelor's in general management. I'm currently working on getting accepted into an MBA program at West Texas A&M. That being said, I've been thinking about doing a career change, and noticed WGU has a lot of good looking online IT options. Has anyone here gotten a second bachelors degree from WGU? If so, what was their credit transfer policy for those who have already graduated? I was snooping around and someone mentioned (not on this site), that I could get a second bachelors degree from WGU basically by taking the core classes (at least 30 credits worth). Cost efficiency is a big plus for WGU as well which would make this very viable if possible. In theory, I should be able to knock out a second bachelors degree for less than $3000 (one term). I'm hoping to speak with an advisor on Monday for the official answer, but I know quite a number of you here have gone to WGU. Also, for those that have done this, was WGU okay with CLEP/DSST/Straighterline/Aleks/ETC? Thanks! I'll report back on Monday or Tuesday when I get the official answer on the subject. WGU second bachelors? - jsd - 01-29-2017 I am currently getting a second Bachelors at WGU after getting my first at TESU. My BA cleared up all the general ed options. They require a residency of 30cr for your second Bachelors. They accept CLEP/DSST and a lot of other ACE options (they're a partner with SL, and I used Study.com to knock out a course that my BA didn't cover), but they're not quite as generous as the Big 3, so run course options by them first. You have to do all your ACE stuff before finalizing your enrollment. Once you're officially enrolled, they will not let you transfer in any additional courses, ACE or traditional courses or otherwise. |
