Torah College Credits - new testing options - clarifications - clep3705 - 03-15-2015 Let's say a student signs up for 4 courses and discovers that one course just didn't look as interesting in reality as the student assumed. Is there any kind of adverse academic consequence for deciding not to finish? Or if a course is finished, is there any penalty for failing the exam other than not getting credit and being out of the time and money? Dropping a course does not show up on your transcript, especially since the grades of most courses are based on one exam; also, failing an exam only results in not getting credit. Torah College Credits - new testing options - clarifications - CollegeKid - 03-17-2015 I can see that there are upper level courses like A Social History of Jewish Food (SOC-302) on the home page, but when I created an account and logged in to see the study materials, I couldn't find that course. I looked under the 3 main headings. Any guidance on finding the study guides? Also, does anyone know if the upper level TCC courses count towards the 15 UL credits required by TESC for Liberal Studies "Area of Study"? Thanks! I can't imaginr that it wouldn't as long as they are ACE or NCCRS approved. I haven't seen TESC restrict usage of credits by school source at all. You could verify the courses you're planning to take with an academic adviser before proceeding. They won't add it to the academic evaluation since it's NCCRS-recommended, but if you get the right adviser, you might receive the course equivalencies. We are still in the process of adding new Coopersmith courses based on interest. TESC has historically accepted all of our courses as recommended by NCCRS. If you want to be extra certain, just ask your adviser. If they don't give you a definite yes, let us know and we will speak with them. |
