Yeah, some of the training I had to go to because it was required and paid for by an employer. I've also been certified in the past for TLETS/NLETS, TCIC/NCIC, and CJIS. I don't even know if those expire. I already know that my TDD/TTY certification expired.

I am an electrician by trade, but only because the Air Force decided for me a couple of decades ago. As a hobby I plan degrees like many here, except I plan them for myself and change degree plans like I am studying in a rotating door. :willynilly:

What free certificates do you know of for public health, emergency responders, safety professionals? I have the PDS and a bunch of other FEMA, Cyber-Security for Everyone completed, what else? I have looked through the sister site's list which is huge but hard to figure out what is good and what is fluff, etc. Lol.
I'm not looking at getting everything humanly possible but rather something that could add to the resume.

I meant to come back and provide a link to their list of courses. You would want to look at the courses that are "web-based." I found a couple of other links that could be helpful.

This document was released January 2015 and has a consolidated list of DHS courses offered by various organizations. They also clearly denote which courses are residential and which are web-based.

I forgot to mention that most if not all the CDP courses are in residence....but they provide everything; air fare, lodging, food, tuition....all covered. And the "recovery lounge" has dollar beer all night every night. The contacts and instruction were absolutely top notch.

I did not know that. Is that something your organization has to sign up for?

Not sign up for, but it does have to be a qualified agency and there is a cursory vetting process. Schools, hospitals, police, fire, EMS....it's geared towaReds them. There are others that qualify too. In the "hot" courses you suit up and handle live Sarin agent... Good times��

Thank you for the information. That would be a cool trip for students, but I don't think that would fly. :p

There was at least one student in my class, I remember she was too young for them to offer a rental car,,,, not sure exactly how she got in but it wasn't an employer.
