People are going to die - LevelUP - 04-23-2023 For just $8 dollars a month, only 27 cents a day, you'll help rescue celebrities from @elonmusk. Please don’t ignore this desperate plea for help https://twitter.com/beinlibertarian/status/1649824270824906753 RE: Yesterday, April 20, 2023, a date which will live in infamy. People are going to die - jsd - 04-23-2023 He's already had to backpedal on this, first by giving a few celebrities their checks back, now giving it back to them en masse. It quickly became so dorky to buy one that Elon had to give them back to celebs to make it seem cool. They say if you don't pay for a product, you're the product. This is still true with twitter, the users are the product -- Elon certainly hasn't and won't change that. But now some of them are actually dumb enough to pay for the "privilege" of being the product. Silly. Anyone invested in all of this has had their brain rotted from too much time online. And that's a lot coming from my perpetually online butt. RE: Yesterday, April 20, 2023, a date which will live in infamy. It's doubtful it'll happen, but some people are discussing lawsuits by the celebs or even the US government itself. It's illegal to make it look like someone is endorsing your product when they're not. Which is exactly what those checks do. RE: Yesterday, April 20, 2023, a date which will live in infamy.
