Whats the estimated average you have spent on your degree so far? I'm planning on taking the statistics course at a community college or straighter line I'm hoping it won't be too difficult.

There are also a few different courses you could swap out instead from Study.com. But yes, you can now complete the entire AOS only using Study.com which is pretty cool.

Actually, you can complete the entire Business section of the degree through Study.com except for the Capstone. I will be doing this. It's a total of 51 credits.

I got a response back from Study.com here on the forum. It doesn't appear that they are working on Intermediate Accounting I or II course right now. They have passed along the suggestion, but that is it so far. They are working on Cost Accounting but we already have that option at SL.

I also though about going the General Management route myself and going heavy on the Accounting Side and then just one of each for Marketing and Management. Its still an idea I have. But with an AoS that would have 12 of the 18 credits in accounting it seems silly that I wouldn't just get the ACC degree. I'm still trying to find a reasonable alternative to Penn Foster for Int Accounting II. I might just take it at TESU, I can get it for pretty cheap if I use a voucher. I would get $270 per credit paid for and I think TESU is $300/credit?? So $30/credit wont be so bad.

I used ALEKS for regular statistics. The Saylor business stats is different, as it counts as an upper level management course in the AoS.

In total so far I've paid for 25 courses and ~9 months @ SL, which has cost about $2500 or so. Four PF courses is another $1400. A few hundred more spread over the remaining sources. ~$2300 remains to be paid to TESU for the graduation fee and residency waiver. All told it'll be about $6500 I think.

Those straighter line courses look to be a better deal then study.com. I might use straighter line then use study.com to finish the rest of the requirements. I'm not trying to spend anymore then 5000 on courses, and 2000 for the fee waiver.

I have looked through my local college's here in California and they seem to have a few intermediate accounting classes, some even online. I'm pretty sure you'll have to take them in sequence intermediate accounting 1 and then 2, but if you can take them there it would be a good deal. I would check around your area to see if there are any classes. If I find any classes online, i'll post it up.

I was told I could take it at SCCC if I got a Cross Reg waiver from HVCC.. HVCC said they won't sign it because Int Acc 2 is available from them.. even though they wont let me take it and its only given every other Spring. I'm still looking. I have time but its looking more and more like I will be taking this from Penn Foster. My only option that looks possible is UAlbany but I need to send them some stuff and see what they say. Need to wait until Mid-Jan to send them a transcript and it prob wont even be ready by then.

Hello everyone my final draft for my degree plan is finished. The courses with an x in the box are courses that were approved by TESU and applied towards my degree. It would be appreciated if anybody can look it over for perhaps any errors. Additionally I am not sure what class I can take for section G of the core requirements, and I am unsure whether or not the Area of Study portion is entirely correct.

Some additional information: The reason for so many straighter line courses is because I feel more comfortable getting most of my credit from one source. So far TESU has accepted 60 of the community college credits that I transferred in.

Any reason you're not using the free ethics course from The Institutes?

BSBA General Management TESU AOS - Fortune212 - 11-23-2016

I just looked up this Ethics course on the institutes website, and its look to be a good deal for only a $5 administration fee. I'm going to make this change in my degree plan. I have heard of this on this site before, but don't see it brought up a lot, so decided not to look further into it. I'm going to replace straighter line business ethics to the institutes ethics course and save me $45 Smile

BSBA General Management TESU AOS - bjcheung77 - 11-23-2016

I wonder why everyone gets this one incorrectly... Um, it's the FREE ethics course that's worth 2 credits.
The $5 is for "continuing education", which isn't what you're looking for as it's NOT for college credit.
