You did well to trust your instincts. It's wonderful that you were able to receive the treatment that you needed, and I hope that you recover fully.

You were very smart to trust your instincts. You saved your own life. I hope your recovery is progressing well.

Thank you everyone for the warm wishes.

Cookderosa.. i got very lucky I didn't have the widowmaker, which I believe is the left coronary artery.
Mine was the right artery which was 99%, but I have a long road in front because my left was also around 60% blocked. I go back on Thursday to find the course of action. Hopefully the blood thinners and stuff will free up some of it so I dont need another invasive procedure.

NAP.. Good question about completing the degree. Something as life changing as a heart attack certainly is making me re-evaluate everything in my life. Add on that I took a job with HP in the office of the CTO 6 months ago as a Distinguished Technologist (just one step below a fellow) with out any degree working among Masters and PhD daily. The company is willing to pay for going back to college by whatever means, so that I can on day promote into the fellow program.
And I think I have completed most of what I can do via testing and such, so my goal was to return back to a more traditional program, so I can get an ABET based engineering degree and get that promotion in a few years time. But now in my precision time each day, do I live and enjoy, or grind out some classes.. Just not sure yet.

The most important thing is to take care of your health right now. You can sort out the rest of life later. I'll be praying for you.

Hey Schorched, glad you are ok and still alive!

I believe you are special because God made you. Because God made you, you have a soul.
One thing for all of us to think about is what Jesus said: "What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and to lose his own soul"? Mark 8:36

I'll be praying for your health and hope you stay healthy for many years to come! Hope you don't have to quit working on your degree.
God bless you.

Dan

Oh thank goodness, hopefully they'll have some good news for you. I hope it's a pill too Smile You'll be in my thoughts this week.
