Just want to let everyone be aware, don't ever discount how your body feels.
I was at work in a big meeting and thought I had indigestion. Lucky I did not let it go to long before I had someone call 911.
But had a pretty intense heart attack, and bottomed out in the ER with a near death experience.
Had a 99% clot in one of my arteries, and had to get in to OR to get the clot busted and a stint put in.
I am only 45, in fairly good health, not really high in cholesterol but I still almost became a statistic.
So keep on eye on yourself and get regular checkups!
Glad to be on the correct side of the dirt still!
Cheers

I'm so glad that you are okay and you were treated in time! Do you still want to finish your degree? Or has this changed your goals?

Sorry that you had to go through that. I hope you have a full recovery.

I wish you all the best in your recovery. It's true that you never know your health fully unless you get annual check-ups. High-risk individuals might need to go more often. I just read about a 26 year old detention officer who died of a heart attack while dealing with an uncooperative inmate.

Thank God you are ok! Incidents like these definitely put it all in perspective, yeah?

wow, close call. Glad you're still with us. I'm sure you know the stats...anyway.
I JUST watched a documentary on Netflix called Widowmaker. You should watch it- they talk about exactly this topic. Young people, average cholesterol, relatively healthy and risk for heart attack. My husband and I signed up to have a calcium scan. If you don't have netflix, here is a summary The Widowmaker Movie Review & Film Summary (2015) | Roger Ebert
