I need help with my depth requirements; In my unofficial eval from Excelsior, it states that I need 2 Depths:

1) A depth in the Arts & Sciences
2) A second depth in any academic area, including applied professional/elective

I chose Psychology as one depth, to build on Psych 101 that I completed in school years ago. Also, I took the ECE version of Org Behavior today.

I'm looking for any CLEP or Dantes exam to fulfill this requirement because these exams are given daily on a walk-in basis, without the need to schedule as with the ECE exams.

Does anyone know if Intro to Sociology count towards my Psychology depth? If so, I can take this exam tomorrow. If not, is there something relatively easy to study in a short amount of time.

My "official" eval will be complete the second week of July. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

I am taking American History 1 tomorrow afternoon, and American History 2 next week. I am not quite sure what to schedule next. I want to do both Western Civ. tests and the Social Science and History as well as American Literature. What would be the best order to study for these tests? I see how helpful it was to take American Government first and then to study American history and I was wondering what kind of overlap other tests have. Thanks so much for all the awesome help!

Just passed Humanities with a 72.......which brings me up to exactly half my credits! Yippee! I've done all this in about 5 months and I'm just tickled to death at how fast this is going. I feel like I reached a major milestone today. Woohoo!

The rep. at the test center where I am to take the accounting exam said a calculator will come up on screen when needed during test. Past posts on here suggest otherwise. Is there a calculator in the software or not? I am leaning more on my understanding than computations but would just like this cleared up. Thank you

I need 3 upper level elective credits for Excelsior's Business degree. I've taken the Dantes MIS test. I'm looking for any ideas (you know the normal) for a cheap, easy, quick way to fulfill the requirement. I'm looking at business law II, but there doesn't seem to be many study guides on this test. Online classes, Clep, or Dantes are the choices I'm looking at.

Human Growth and Development
Educational Psychology

All transfer for my basic requirement.

To all of the IC Family: A sincere thank you for all of the information over the last few months. I really appreciated all of the study tips. I only wish I had found this site sooner in my educational adventures!:o I am done and my transcripts have been updated. I have been enjoying my time off for the last few weeks. I actually walk on 9/15 and have received my cap and gown. To those of you who are starting out...keep your head up and continue to just study the ic cards and if you get the wrong answer figure out what the correct one is I found wikipedia to be a great tool. Trial and error! Even if you do not pass one test there are always others you can take. Also take advantage of this valuable site. There is a wealth of information and others out there always willing to help!! Beleive me even if you feel like it, you are not alone!! We have all been there! Good luck to each and everyone of you. Hi all. I know that y'all don't hear much from me but there hasn't been much feedback on this exam and so I thought I would give back a little.
I sat for this today, studied for about a week and pulled a "C", which is what I was expecting.

This is a terminology exam. Google a glossary of Social Psych terms and study them! Know them inside and out. I was pretty familiar with the terms but if you have them down cold, you will do better than a "C". (the term cognitive turns up a lot!)

Take "Research Methods" first. If you have taken that, you'll get several "gimme" questions that you will know from that exam. (manipulate the independent or dependent variable?)

Read the Social Psych section of the Kaplan GRE Psych book. (It is pretty short, you could read it in the book store or better yet, get it from the library.) It will familiarize you with the various names in Social Psych and who did what experiment and what the results were.
And of course, use instantcert.
