Excelsior study plan

I was randomly searching through here a couple of days ago for some info, and saw that some people had a .pdf print out of what they had left to do with Excelsior and what degree requirement it filled.

Does Excelsior still do that, and if so, how do I go about getting one?

Hello everyone.

I have an announcement to make... ahem, ahem...

Today I took my final CLEP exam (Intro to Ed. Psychology (66)), and I can finally say that I have completed ALL degree requirements for a B.S. in General Business from Excelsior College. I am DONE!!!

I will end up with a 3.86 GPA. (Magna Cum Laude)

To tell the truth, I owe so much to this forum and the friends I have met here -- people who have already been through the journey. People who have marked the trail for others to follow. I sincerely appreciate it.

Thank you.

As they say, "It's been REAL!!"Big Grin

I'm so happy, I don't know what to do with myself!!!!!!hilarious

I finished my sixth test yesterday. I have one more to take tomorrow, technical writing...I am not too worried about it though. It will be a total of 7 tests in 16 days and 27 credits.

How does one access the FREE Peterson's tests?

Call me stupid, call me ignorant. I don't care what you call me as long as someone can tell me how to take these FREE Peterson's tests. I've tried to use them but they always ask for money? Where do I look? Please use hyperlinks.

  Alzheimer's disease caregivers

Hey everyone,

I just wondered if anyone here has had firsthand experience as a caregiver for someone with Alzheimer's disease...especially towards the later stages. If so, could you please send me a PM? Thanks.

  A Nation Once Again
Posted by: Drummerboy - 08-28-2007, 09:47 PM - Forum: Off Topic - Replies (4)

Hello all,

Here is a poem I thought I would share with you. It was written by an Irishman, Thomas Osborne Davis. It has a stirring lesson for us in America if we wish to be "the nation once again" that stands for freedom.

A NATION ONCE AGAIN
When boyhoods fire was in my blood
I read of ancient freemen
For Greece and Rome who bravely stood
Three hundred men and three men
And then I prayed I might yet see
Our fetters rent in twain
And Ireland long a province be
A nation once again

[CHORUS]
[A nation once again
A nation once again
And Ireland long a province be
A nation once again]

And from that time through wildest woe
That hope has shone a far light
Nor could loves brightest summer glow
Outshine that solemn starlight
It seemed to watch above my head
In forum, field and fane
Its angel voice sang round my bed
A nation once again
(CHORUS)

It whispered too that freedoms ark
And service high and holy
Would be profaned by feelings dark
And passions vain or lowly
For, freedom comes from Gods right hand
And needs a godly train
And righteous men must make our land
A nation once again
(CHORUS)

So, as I grew from boy to man
I bent me to that bidding
My spirit of each selfish plan
And cruel passion ridding
For, thus I hoped some day to aid
Oh, can such hope be vain
When my dear country shall be made
A nation once again.

  Long absence
Posted by: Banta - 08-28-2007, 05:57 PM - Forum: General Education-Related Discussion - Replies (4)

Hi everyone.

I just rejoined this site after taking some time away from taking tests. The last tests I took were about a year ago and I had the results sent to Excelsior, even though I'm not yet enrolled there. I was wondering... how long does Excelsior keep my results on file? I remember reading it was about a year ago at one point but I can't recall for certain. And what do I have to do if they aren't currently on file anymore? I was taking the CLEPs... do I just have to have my results send back to Excelsior again? Hopefully, I didn't lose the credit, I don't think that I did, but I'm not certain.

Glad to be back in the test game!

  Essay length
Posted by: scchapin - 08-28-2007, 01:47 PM - Forum: General Education-Related Discussion - Replies (4)

Hey, I'm planning on taking the English composition CLEP test pretty soon. I'm wondering what length of an essay they want to see. And if you have taken the test, if you have any helpful advice that would be appreciated as well.
