Ok, I am in the final count down- I needed one class in my concentration (must be 200 level or higher) to close it out. I took a winter semester class locally and earned an A. The course is titled SOC200 Contemporary Social Problems.
TESC entered the prelim info on my transcript as SOC174
On a quick google search, I can find at least 8 other colleges that have the same title and are listed above the 200 level. Why the drop?
If I let it go, it falls into an elective - not the end of the world, but not my plan. I had intended to use CLEP biology for my remaining 6 credit elective.
Thoughts? Is this something colleges arbitrarily assign numbers to, or is there some rock solid system?
I am going to speak with my advisor this afternoon- but I wanted to guage how hard to press.
THANKS

I took US History II, I only studied one day and IC's website was down last night for a few. I didn't get to study like I really wanted. I went and took the exam. i felt like I got a lot of questions right but was unsure of my score.
I canceled my score. Would it have mattered on my transcripts if I would have got a failing score? would it have hurt me? I didn't want some type of F showing up on my transcript.

Okay, I'm new to the whole thing of working with a college advisor, as I used CollegePlus for most of my degree planning.
I've completed most of my CLEPs and DSSTs and had transcripts send to TESC. My degree audit and proposed courses were approved.
However, I found LATER (and mostly by accident) that one of the TESC courses I planned to take duplicated a DSST I had taken. It's no big deal, because I have other options of stuff to take, but it's left me feeling Highly Suspicious and kind of nervous. Telling you your plans are approved and then telling you that no, you can't do that after all isn't calculated to inspire trust.
Is this normal? Exactly who do you go to get the final answer? I don't want to go to the trouble and expense of taking certain courses only to find out that nope, sorry, that doesn't work after all, try again schweetie.

I passed History I on Wednesday 53 and I took ECE World Religion today
It was an essay exam and they said it was going to take 75 days to get the grade. Man what a bummer is that usually the case?
I'm taking US History I with one day of study, man I hope I pass. My brain is killing me.
Hey how do I make a signature with all my test scores?

Hello, all I thought I would post a bit of feedback on TESC Thanatology test I just took. I grabbed the free syllabus and practice test off the TESC site and checked out the recommended textbook from my library. I was very prepared by skimming through the book and taking notes on the topic in the syllabus. Also, I noted about 5 questions off the practice test were on the actual test so pay close attention to them. The only extra thing I would recommend looking into is the "Five Wishes" program on the dying with dignity website. They asked a few questions about the program. This test is VERY do-able for a psych major like myself. Also, I took this test as a TECEP through my local library as a proctor. Look out! It was an awful subject to study for me (dying children case studies etc...) and on-top of that they charge you a $450 fee!

I have been studying for statistics for about a month and am ready to be done! This stuff can really fry your brain.hilarious I was wondering if I really focused on standard deviation, null hypothesis, and probability and knew them flat, would that be enough to pass? Thanks for all your help!

| Help with Non-Western Lit requirement at TESC! |

I am in desperate need of some help. I need ONE class for the English major at TESC and itâs the dreaded Non-Western Lit requirement. I need to take a class in Russian, Middle Eastern, Asian, or African Lit- according to TESC, Mythology, etc. does not apply. They (of course) have a class called African Encounters for $495 + books. I have looked at LSU, BYU, etc. and the only thing I can find that maybe might fit would be World Lit at Adams State, but when I checked the Syllabus itâs Latin and Greek writers (most likely TESC will say no). Did anyone else use another class to get around this?
The issue Iâm having is I need everything done by 7/1 to finish up, so traditional structured classes have already started and Summer sessions would run after 7/1. Anyone know of an IS format that has a class like that?
TIA!
