where to find Business Statistics for COSC
#1
Hi Folks,

Any idea how to fulfill Business Statistics for the Business degree at COSC? Apparently it's Business 201 - a pre-requisite.

Clepper 43,
If it seems like I'm drafting on you, it's 'cause I am!

Ha ha, well sometimes I feel like I am all alone in this new COSC forum area so that's ok with me!

If they had a partnership with ALEKS, you could get it there. Unfortunately, none of their approved partners has business statistics. Only intro to stats (100-level). It's possible that a generic 200-level statistics course might work.

StraighterLine has Bus Stats.

COSC has an agreement with StraighterLine and a scholarship.

Aaaak! i just looked at the syllabus for Bus. Stats. It sounds FRIGHTENINGLY like the Intro to Stats course I just (barely) survived through Sophia.

Maybe I should reconsider my goal of a BSBA.

Business Stats and Intro to Stats aren't exactly the same. There are similarities, but they're not identical. I've heard people say that Intro to Stats is easier. Not sure since I haven't taken both yet. Business Stats wasn't awful. Wasn't the greatest experience in my life. I'm finding Sophia's math courses to be a bit difficult and I've taken this class in the past on a college campus. I'm taking College Algebra again because it's too old to count for my math requirement. I'm debating where to take Stats.

And what's the Straighterline scholarship again? You have to bring in 4 classes?
