Are all of the DANTES exams computer based now? Also, I'm thinking they are multiple choice with 4 options. Is this correct? The specific exam right now is Organizational Behavior but we were wondering about all the DANTES exams.
Thanks!

About half the testing centers in my area offer the DSSTs on computer, the other half still use the paper based testing. It is multiple choice with four answer choices. Doing a search here:
DSST - GetCollegeCredit.com will tell you which centers use paper or computer testing. It tells you in the box with the testing center's address and other information. So whether or not Organizational Behavior is on computer or paper will depend on which testing center you choose.
As far as I know, all CLEPs are computer-based testing, btw.
My local testing center told me the other day that the only test they have to administer via paper & pencil is DSST Public Speaking, all the rest are on computer.
Hope that helps!

Testing via computer is a lot less nerve-wracking - there's no agonizing wait camped out by the mailbox. Click the mouse a couple times and there's your score.
The DSST testing site list is not entirely accurate. Our community college has been trying to be removed from the list for a few years now, as they don't administer the exams. (I test at a neighboring county's CC) When you call test sites near you, verify how the tests are administered and which tests are available. As Alissa noted, the public speaking DSST is not computer-based. In fact, "my" test center stopped administering that one because it requires a proctor through the entire exam process plus a quiet place dedicated to recording speeches.
Yes, the DSSTs are multiple choice with 4 options per question. Good luck with Org Behavior - know your motivation theories inside and out!

The exam center list on DSST's site is woefully out of date. I called all four Long Island schools listed and only one still offers Dantes exams. That one only offers them Monday thru Friday from 9am to 4pm which means taking time off work to take an exam. Ugh, what I wouldn't give for some upper level CLEPs.
I strongly suggest calling the centers before planning on taking an exam. Just my 2 cents.
