1. is it mostly math questions or are there questions on what are annuties, ledgers, etc?
2. approximately how many questions are on the test and how many do you need to pass the test?
3. can you use a calculator?
any help would be appreciated, since this would be my 1st math DSST or CLEP i am a little worried

Business math shows up on my status report as applied professional (free elective). I do not think it would duplicate the CLEP College Math, which is in the Arts and sciences.
There are 55 questions on the exam, and they are mostly solving word problems. You will need to get more than half of the questions correct to pass.
There is a calculator provided on the computer version, it is at the bottom of the screen the entire time. If you are taking a paper version, they will probably then allow you to bring your own. If you are taking the computer test, I suggest you get used to using the calculator app on your computer as you study, since you will need to be fast about the point and click on the calculator. I used an old pocket calculator I keep at my desk, and that really slowed me down when I sat the real test. The one provided on the screen is a no frills model, no graphing or statistics functions, but you won't need those anyway.
