Hi all,
So I just completed my first class on study (Finance 102 for the scholarship). quick questions if you could answer when you get a chance:
1)if I am going to eventually send my credits to TESU, should I have STUDY send it there or go through the ace website?
2)if study sends it there directly, how do I go about having them do that?
3) lastly, if a course is ace-credited right now, after i take the course and complete the exam, can that credit ever expire before entering a program at TESU?
Thanks all!
P.S. Has anyone had their exam ever invalidated due to testing conditions or any other reasons or are they usually good? I tested in my unfinished basement/office and scanned the whole room and underneath the desk so hopefully I did the process right. It was hard though to get a very clear picture of my license due to the glare in the license to begin with

1) I'd transcribe them to ACE for safe keeping either way, but you can send from Study.com to TESU for free, so you might as well take advantage of that. I do that after completing the second exam of each month to avoid spamming them too much.
2) There is a link on the website for that... its the same one used to send over NCCRS courses. I don't have it handy but someone else probably does.
3) Once a course is on your ACE transcript it does not expire as far as I know. You can send your transcript to TESU (or any other school) at any point in the future. Of course, TESU can always change the rules about what they accept for credit so there is no guarantee that they will accept the course in the future, but chances are pretty good they will for the foreseeable future.
As long as the proctor/reviewer can read the name and see the photo on your ID, and its clear enough that they can tell you are the same person as in the photo, you are probably good on that side. As for the room scan, as long as you don't violate any of the test rules (no books, notes, calculator - unless approved, nothing on the walls with writing, or under the desk, etc.) and you pan the room slowly enough that they can make out that nothing is being violated, you are probably good on that side too. I am sure that some people do fail the proctoring, but if you put a little due diligence into it, you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Once a course is on your ACE transcript, it never expires. Whether a school will accept it, and for what, can sometimes be an issue - but not because of ACE.
There have been posts recently about the Study.com system, and problems with a clear picture of the ID, so I wouldn't worry about it. Seems to be fine.

Okay thanks everyone. And since MAT 96 course is 4-credits through NCCRS, how would I go about sending that to TESU vs ace since it’s only 3 through ace?

Thank you! On that link, it doesn't specify though if you want study.com to send it over via the NCCRS or ACE cert. Do you know how to specify that?

There is no need to specify. It is sent directly from Study.com and TESU applies it based on the transfer agreement they have (which for the course you're asking about is 4 credits)

Okay the only reason I ask is because ACE is only 3-credits for that course and NCCRS is 4-credits. Just wanted to make sure I receive the 4 credits

Pretty sure TESU gives you the same number of credits either way. It is up to each school how they choose to evaluate the credit, not which credit recommendation service you use. Though, as a general rule, they appear to follow the ACE recommendations more than NCCRS. So, if a course is evaluated by both, chances are it will more likely come at the level and credit that ACE recommends. Though that isn't always the case... occasionally they ignore both recommendations and go with their own evaluation.
