My computer crashed while I was taking the Strategic Management TECEP. TESU doesn't allow you to resume the exam. It is now locked and I have a ticket open, but I don't expect to hear anything until tomorrow.
Has this happened to anyone before? What was the outcome? Did they let you resume the exam? If not, did it count as one of your two attempts?

Has not happened to me, I prefer paper exams. It should definitely not count as one of the two attempts as it was a hardware/software error vs a failed test. But when the exam is reset, if it's not saved as in-progress, they will most likely upload an alternate version of the exam.

You should definitely hear back from TESU tomorrow. I haven't experienced this, but don't worry, TESU is very understanding and they'll help you.

Ouch, ProcotorU crashed on me before during an exam. Or something happened to my laptop internet connection...
But after all was said and done, I was able to complete my exam (this was for a Straighterline course).
I refreshed the connection, continued on with the work and mentioned to the proctor it was a fluctuation on the internet.
Note: I did not restart the computer or anything, I just chose the wireless lan again and reconnected from that.
Strangely this happens all too often for me, my cable internet connection is 30 down/5 up, but when I am doing the exam... it goes to 3 down and 3 up.
I am going to change internet providers as this is an issue for me sometimes, when I do some work, it's crawling during peak hours.
Random disconnections such as this causes issues for me, I think i'll go with DSL or another provider with a more stable connection.
Other times when i'm not doing anything much, the internet is fast... *sigh*, only TESU can update you on their decision.

I was almost sick earlier when I posted, but have settled down now. Decided i'm going to see a movie and to workout. Nothing I can do until I hear back from TESU.
bjcheung77 - It was a BSOD and rebooted automatically. The session with ProctorU reconnected, but when I did restore session on the browser window, the test was logged out. I previously had the problem you described with my internet and considered switching ISPs, but it went away after I replaced my cable modem and cheap router/wifi with a new modem/router/wifi device. Now the only time i have that issue is when the kids are all on Netflix from their kindles and the connection is saturated.

My progress in the exam was saved, so I can resume in the section I was on when the computer crashed. Now I just need to figure out when to finish and which computer to use.

I didn't see an option to resume and ended up starting from the beginning. If I had time to study over the last two weeks it would have been to my advantage, but since I didn't study much it is probably a wash. Updated my ticket with TESU and will wait to see what they say.

The grade showed up in moodle on Thursday, but didn't move over to OSS the next day like the other TECEPs did. I waited through the weekend and when it still hadn't processed this morning, I followed up on my ticket. They verified the score and said it should show up today, but to wait a few days if it did not. I checked again late in the afternoon and it was there. What a relief.
TESU has a reputation for bad customer service, but in this instance I can honestly say I have no complaints. I know they are a 9-5 M-F operation, but all of my emails were responded to quickly or early the next business day. Glad to have this whole situation behind me, so I can move on to the next exam.
