DSST statistics, please help
#1
Hello,
Is there anyone who has recently taken DSST Statistics test? I am trying to study for that by myself but I have no idea where to start, what textbook to use. Do you know what the outline for this exam is? I found something on the DSST website but it is not really in detail. Is there more of the theory or more practical examples? I would appreciate any help from someone who has taken the test or knows more about it!Thanks

The Instantcert cards are good for this. And yes, it is practical applications and basic principles. It's not a bad exam. I bought one of the recommended books off the reading list, Statistics by Purves, Freedman, and Pisani--I thought it was really good. The outline is a good idea of what to expect on the real exam: http://www.getcollegecredit.com/download...080509.pdf

I took it less than a year and a half ago, and based on other feedback I've seen--I believe I had one of the more difficult versions. For detailed feedback--click on the link in my signature below. If you've joined InstantCert, you also have access to the Specific Feedback Section which has plenty of feedback regarding this test. Good luck!

The idiots guide is VERY good. The instantcert questions definitely help, and the TI BA II+ was a huge help! It is hard but not impossible.

Thank you for all your feedback! I have one more question. Does anyone of you have an experience with the DANTES SUBJECT STANDARDIZED TESTS IN BASIC STATISTICS? I got this book and the examples seem extremely hard, I wonder if such difficulty will be on the test or not. Can anyone compare this book with the actual exam?

Thank you

Are you done with your statistics test?
what was the result? Is your book helpful?
