I just got back from taking the french clep. I needed atleast a 42 to get 2 sem of french (101 and 102). I took 2 semesters of french in high school, and I'm a senior in college. My psychology major requires 2 sem of a language. Sadly, my school took out french. I did not feel like taking 2 sem of spanish..so I decided to try clep. I haven't had french in 5 years, and only studied for a hour for the french clep. I felt like I wouldn't pass (guessed on 99% of the test). I got VERY lucky..and passed with a 44.

Each school has a different number of points needed for a pass. Some schools require a different number. My school only requires a 42 to get 2 semesters of french.

nice work then. I'd say the real difficulty of this exam is hearing the audio clips well. If anyone's going to write this exam make sure you CRANK up the volume lest miss a few questions due to unclear audio. Of course, it could just be my deafness
