I am also coming up on ten years we joined the same month Jennifer, but I don't have near your number of post. I am so out of the loop at this point I just come to see what old friends are doing and to offer encouragement when I can.

@ransomsoul I was in my 50's when I started back to school and joined this forum, I haven't really done a lot with my degree but that is more a product of my moving for my husbands work and deciding to retire early. My degree did still help and it was important to me to earn it just to know I did. We are never to old to learn and even if we do it later in life it is still worth the effort.

Yes, what a long strange trip it's been! LOL
True story: I was taking online chemistry at Ocean County College way back, and my teacher was offering extra credit to the students who would come and work the chemistry club bake sale table. If you couldn't work, you could donate cookies. Ok, great, I'm in Illinois and my college is in NJ. Not fair!! (granted, they were new to distance learning in the early 2000's ) so after a rant here, Linda BAKED AND DELIVERED cookies in my name TO MY TEACHER! It's a true story! I got the extra credit. Wink Love ya girl!

Awesome Lindagerr - agree 100%. Your BA in Natural Science/Mathematics was right there as my top two choices down the stretch with TESU. Ended up leaning towards the BSBA because of the option to use Penn Foster for the capstone to assist on the time frame I was aiming to complete the degree at.

Side note - Noticed you are in Niagara Falls NJ - went to Niagara Falls on the Canadian side for the first time in December and loved it.
PhD, Leadership, University of the Cumberlands - What Have I Done!!?!!
MBA, Healthcare Management, Western Governors University - in progress

Jennifer you give me too much credit, I had my BIL who worked at the college as an adjunct deliver them. Jennifer also sent me a wonderful thank you gift.

Ransomsoul I love it here in the summer time always a cool breeze off the lake, I am on the American side ( I always know when it is 10 PM on Sunday, Wednesday and Friday because I am close enough to the falls to hear the fireworks over the falls.). I have had several friends visit who have never seen the Falls before they all say pictures don't do it justice. I hate it here in the winter it snows at least an inch every other day I hate the cold and mess. So I spend the winters in Myrtle Beach where my mother and sister live. Since I spent the first 50+ years of my life in NJ I will always be a "Jersey Girl" at heart and I go back to visit as often as possible. People call on my cell and say OK which state are you in they never know.hilarious

P.S. look at my Avatar pic, it is a rainbow over the falls

No I don't! This group is a fantastic community that connects beyond the chit chat, and I think that's why people stay even after they've finished testing classes. Smile I had lunch with a long term member last Saturday, had her and her family to my home- the whole 9 yards. I'm Facebook friends with SEVERAL members (and my personal FB is small, tight, and private) and have spoken on the phone to many of them. I've enjoyed being a long time member here, and the relationships that have been built from this forum.
