my unofficial transcript - your profound wisdom

Oh Snap! Max007, it's not Halloween yet! You're in for a trick and treat!  If you're not grandfathered in with an older catalog and provided an exemption to the new transfer policy requirements, sadly, you're out of luck and need to follow it!  Regulations are just that, for an Associates, you can transfer in 45 alternative credits, for the Bachelors, you can transfer in the 90 alternative credits, the rest of the remaining credits will need to be from an RA source such as an institute, or college/university.  Anyways, start jumping for joy when you read this trick and treat: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...-Explained

Thank you so much, bj. It appears as though nothing would change for me then? TESU's verbiage is cryptic at best.
As mentioned, I took the ethics course. I believe the TEEX death investigation would be next. I'll have to go over everything again. However, I believe I only had 4 courses left after TEEX for my BALS.

Max007, TESU has added the RA requirement, but you have way more than 24cr of RA, so you are fine. They have changed the degree plan slightly, so there is a change to your plan; but it's just 1 course. Here's what you need:
Ethics course -
Civic Engagement -
4 UL Liberal Arts courses
1 200-level Liberal Arts course (you have lots of 100-level courses, but you are limited to just 2 in the AoS, and those are already in there)
Cornerstone & capstone

Don't bother with TEEX, as there's nowhere to put those credits - the Free Electives are filled.

Also don't bother with CSM Learn, there's nowhere to put that either.

The total cost would be $6654 for 6cr at TESU, and then $608 for 7 courses in 2 months at Study.com for a grand total of $7,262.
----------------------------------------------------------------

If you opted to go to EC, you could do that pretty easily, and they're cheaper than TESU.

Ethics course (UL) - easiest to get from Study.com or Coopersmith
4 Liberal Arts courses (UL) ^^same
2 Business or Lib Arts courses (UL) ^^same
Info Lit (only available at EC, 1cr)
Cornerstone (UL)
Capstone (UL)

You could easily sign up for Study.com for all 7 courses you want/need, and do 4 courses in Month 1 and 3 courses in Month 2.

EC has removed the $1095 enrollment fee, so you're looking at $4205 for 7cr there, and $608 for 7 courses in 2 months at Study.com, for a grand total of $4,813.
----------------------------------------------------------------

COSC hasn't changed I don't think, so you need:
Ethics course (UL)
US History course (UL)
2 Liberal Arts courses (UL)
4 Business courses (UL)

All have to be done at Study.com I think due to their limitations on course providers.

Total cost would be $2849 for 6cr at COSC, plus $678 for 8 courses in 2 months at Study.com, for a grand total of $3,527.

----------------------------------------------------------------

The easiest will be TESU, but you'll pay for that since it's the most expensive.
The next easiest will be EC.
Then COSC.

All still pretty easy though.

Are you a NJ resident? If so, do Flat rate tuition and take 16 credits a term, cornerstone/capstone and 3 UL e-packs, plus PLA-100.
Apply for fin-aid too... Flat rate fee: https://www.tesu.edu/tuition/flat-rate-tuition | E-pack list: https://www2.tesu.edu/listallc.php
Note: You may also want to apply to UMPI BLS MIS Minor and see if you can finish in two terms for $2800 as 1 term is $1400.

Thank you SO much for this clarification, dfrecore.  The Ethics course I took was The Institutes, Risk and Insurance Knowledge Group - Ethical Guidelines.  I did receive a certificate, which I believe was compatible with TESU's ethical course requirement.  If this is accurate, then I would only need the following, correct?
- 1 Civic engagement course
- 4 upper level liberal arts courses
- 1 200 level liberal arts course
Then cornerstone and capstone at TESU.  Not to be redundant.. However, I should still be able to complete everything (except corner/capstone) via study.com, correct?

Also, does anyone have any specific class suggestions with regard to the remaining requirements I have?

Thank you so very much.

Unfortunately, the Ethics course you took can't be put on a Credly transcript, so it's lost forever.  Luckily, it was free.  But you're going to need another Ethics course.

I'll give you the Study.com options, others can give you Sophia or whatever:

ETHICS - SOCSCI 108: Ethics in the Social Sciences (shortest of the 4 LL ethics courses)
Civic Engagement - POLS 103: Comparative Politics (only option at Study.com)
UL BALS courses - too many to list
LL BALS course - too many to list

I suggest sticking with the same "area" so that it goes faster: for instance, if you want to do all Communications courses, you can do 3 UL (Organizational Comm, Leadership Comm, and Managerial Comm, and then Business Comm for your LL); if you want to do all Psych, you can do that; History; Ethics, etc.
TESU BSBA/HR 2018 - WVNCC BOG AAS 2017 - GGU Cert in Mgmt 2000
EXAMS: TECEP Tech Wrtg, Comp II, LA Math, PR, Computers  DSST Computers, Pers Fin  CLEP Mgmt, Mktg

Sophia would be marginally cheaper for Ethics and a LL course. My suggestion would be to do:

Sophia Intro to Ethics
Sophia 200-level LL course (see https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/So...lency_List ); Visual Communication is very fast and easy. Ancient Greek Philosophers will make Ethics easier.
InstantCert American Government OR Study.com Comparative Politics
It sounds like you're already doing TEEX Death Investigation. Good!
Fill out remaining UL credits with Study.com
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA

Another option is to take the residency requirement 16 credits through TESU instead of paying the residency waiver (see post #34).
Total cost would be your graduation fee plus the fee below, depending if you're in state or out of state.  I think it's a better option...

New Jersey residents $3,579
Out-of-state residents $4,639

Cornerstone/Capstone, 3 UL E-Packs, and the PLA-100 course.  You can take any other Sophia.org/InstantCertCredit, Study.com for the remainder.
E-Packs I recommend are the following 3 with the *, the link above was incorrectly truncated, it's this https://www2.tesu.edu/listallc.php?type=EP

*Organizational Behavior (MAN-311)
Social Gerontology (SOC-315)
Thanatology: An Understanding of Death and Dying (PSY-300)
Research in Experimental Psychology (PSY-322)
Introduction to Counseling (PSY-331)
Abnormal Psychology (PSY-350)
*Psychology of Personality (PSY-352)
*Industrial Psychology (PSY-363)
Social Psychology I (PSY-370)
Social Psychology (PSY-379)

Note: The * are my suggestions, take ones that interest you after you review the course details.  Again, taking 16 credits may be better than paying the residency waiver.  If you need, you can get an extension to the capstone, but finish your e-pack/pla-100 and cornerstone on time.

dfrecore, bj, and Rachel,
Thank you so much for your time, effort, and suggestions.

To bj; Unfortunately, I am not a New Jersey resident. However, wouldn't it be less time consuming to go the study.com route for remaining coursework? I'm not exactly certain as I've not taken any TESU courses yet. It does appear as though it may be less expensive to go your route. I'm not certain what E-Packs or PLA-100 courses are. Sorry for my ignorance.

Rachel: Thank you kindly for your suggestions. Very insightful. I'm going to check out your recommendations. I believe dfrecore mentioned the TEEX death investigation would not be advantageous for me at this stage. Something about my free electives being filled.

dfrecore: Alas, my Ethics course has sailed. SOOO...
- 1 Ethics
- 1 Civic engagement
- 4 UL BALS courses (probably psych)
- 1 LL BALS course
________________
- 7 classes/courses + corner and capstone
I'm truly sorry for my redundancy. I just want to make absolutely certain prior to embarking.
So... if you all were in my position, your next steps would be to enroll with study.com and begin going to it? There would probably be no reason to start anything up with TESU again until nearing the end of the aforementioned courses, correct?
Thank you.. Thank you.. Thank you..

I think that there may have been some mix-up regarding TEEX. There are Cybersecurity courses that don't cost anything - those only come in as free electives for most degrees. The Death Investigation course costs $75 and comes in as an upper level AOJ course. AOJ is a valid Liberal Arts category, meaning that it will fit in your degree plan.

bjcheung77 brings up a valid point; you might want to consider a 16 credit term at TESU. For this, you would need: capstone, cornerstone, PLA-100 and 3 other courses. There are some "can't fail" courses listed here: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Th...University

For you, one option would be:
American Government (POS-110) ePack - Single exam that's worth residency credits. Might want to pre-study for this one.
COM-339 The Story of Human Language - Looks like a relatively easy UL course
LIB-320 The Music of War & Peace OR maybe CIS-351 Software Engineering (no programming required; assignments are Word documents or something along those lines); CIS is a BALS category.

Or only do one UL course at TESU and instead do their ETH-230 Ethics in the Digital Age. But the Ethics course actually looks like it has more work/assignments than the UL courses suggested above.
