I recently took that test, instacert had all the information required. Take your time and go through it thouroughly. If you can, take the Petersons practice tests. I beleive, though i havent used them yet, you can get practice tests from getcollegecredit.com as well.

Good luck!

I think this is the kind of test that's either extremely easy or difficult based on your background. Sorry if you're the latter, man. Instantcert it up!

The IC flashcards are enough for the introductory exams like Intro to Computing. I used them and scored pretty well on the test, but I also know more about computers than the average person even though I'm not an IT professional. I really thought I had average knowledge until I found out how many of my coworkers don't know what an operating system is.

I passed the Intro to Computers with a 414, and I didn't use IC then. I would definitely recommend using the REA guide for the similar CLEP test. (I think the name is really close, if not the same; Intro. to computers). I did know a little about computers to start, but only the basics, like using one, and like sanantone said, simple stuff like what an operating system is.
