grading method for college composition/ testing circumstances
#1
Hi all,
I tested for college composition this morning. Of course, I don't know how I scored yet. The room seemed quite cold to me. While I already suffer from moderate to slight hand neuropathy/ cold hands, I can usually type well. Today, it was cool enough in the test room that a student called it cold. My fingers sort of stiffened up and were definitely cold, noticeably slowing my speed at typing those already tightly timed essays. What I'm asking for advice on is should I write the college board about this issue or just hope for the best. (I mentioned the temp to the proctor and he said he could not control the ac.)
Thank you for your input!

I assume we're talking about a CLEP? I'd do both. Lodge a complaint on the college board site, then wait to see what score you get. They should know about the problem, but you don't need to do a lot of escalating if you passed it. If you didn't then you can follow up your already in process complaint.

I realize this is too late for the OP, but for those of you who experience anything "out-of-the-ordinary" during testing, please nicely ask the test proctor to file a report with CLEP. It is very easy for them to do, but I would personally want to make sure they did it before leaving the facility.
