Should the Post 9/11 gi bill housing allowance be included under any of the financial aid subsections on the FASFA? It seems like question 45g might apply:
"Housing, food, and other living allowances paid to members of the military, clergy, and others (including cash payments and cash value of benefits). Do not include the value of on-base military housing or the value of a basic military allowance for housing"
This section seems to refer to active duty and not to veterans since it says "members of the military" and "basic military allowance for housing". I don't think veterans are included in the group "members of the military" and the monthly housing allowance is "MHA" not "BAH".
Do any of you know the correct answer to this?
Thank you for your help.
