did someone do AAS CJ and BA Psych at TESC?

I emailed and called TESC about doing a 2nd area of study on my BA but then someone else suggested I look into doing the AAS in CJ and the BA in Psych. I did some checking with potential employers and decided that that would work great for what I am wanting. I emailed advising and they said I can do the AAS and BA at the same time AND stay under the 2015 catalog.

Isnt there someone on this board that did this same thing? I would love to see someone's plan to see how they plugged different tests/classes in. I could swear I saw it in someone's signature line but now I cant find them

Did they say that both degrees would be under the 2015 catalog? When they added an AAS for me, they put it under the 2016 catalog and kept the BSBA under the 2015 catalog.

here is what they wrote:
"Yes, you can work on both the BA. Psychology and the AAS in Criminal Justice concurrently. Because the AAS in Criminal Justice is under the Heavin School, you are permitted to stay in the 2015 catalog year. However, I would recommend checking with the Office of Academic Advising prior to registering for each course. This to ensure degree applicability in both areas."

looking at the list in the 2014-2015 catalog online, I see:

does that mean I have to take those specific six classes listed? ( questioning it because the TESU website page that shows the AAS CJ doesnt list specific classes, it just says "courses in area of study" so I dont know if that website page is just vague or if the catalog is just giving ideas of classes offered at TESU)

IF I have to take those six specific classes: what 'counts' for "Constitutional Issues" and "cultural diversity in the US" ?

are propero and penn foster the best places to get the CJ credits online? I saw that I can do into to CJ through Straighterline.

I recently completed an AAS CJ. It is 21 credits of CJ electives. I did Intro to Criminal Justice DSST, it was worth 6 credits when I transferred it in. Juvenile Delinquency Excelsior credit by exam. Substance Abuse DSST, also counts as psych elective. I did Cultural Diversity Excelsior credit by exam, but it is more expensive, there are cheaper options. I took 2 through Penn Foster, Loss Prevention and White Collar Crime. Propero and Penn Foster both offer CJ courses. According to my eval Victimology from Propero counts as a CJ elective and Psych elective.

It is very unclear if those classes are required or suggested. Funky.

CSU-Global has 11 CJ courses and all look to be UL. $250/exam.
Propero has a bunch, but I think only a couple are UL. $299/course
CSU-Pueblo Indep. Study has 14, I think they're all UL $495/course

For the AAS CJ the capstone is not required. It is the only AAS degree that does not require a capstone.

If you graduate with the BA and AAS at the same time then the courses from the AAS falls into the BA, no extra credits required. CJ courses are considered social science courses so they fall into the gen ed section of the BA unless they count as psych then they would fall into the psych area. The BA capstone counts as upper level towards the upper level requirement. The UL requirement can be met by Experimental psych UL, 4 UL psych electives and capstone course UL.
