I forgot to include my current estimate for my wife's EC degree plan. I am not sure if this is correct.
Does the EC capstone count towards the UL requirement or is it separate? I think the capstone is a different cost. If it can factor in on the 30 UL requirement, so much the better.
POAG Associate Membership means no admission fee $25
Multi-source enrollment fee if registered for less than 12 credits per semester $1095
No Student Annual Services fee if POAG member $0
Graduation fee POAG reduced fee $130
Information Literacy Course (Davar) $105
Capstone course at $510 credit hour x 3 $1530
Ethics Requirement (Saylor ENVS203) $40
Study.com membership $200 x 5 months (UL/LL credits) $1000
Potential UExcel exam for 1 UL 3 cr hr course $192.83
Total $4,117.83

I apologize if I did not post the right way. I am pretty new to how the whole board posts work.
Thanks

1) So POAG and any other discounts on EC only works if you take 12cr through them. Since that's probably not your plan, skip any discounts you might have thought about.
2) The Student Services Annual fee won't apply, since it's for the 2nd year, and you should be done before that kicks in.
3) You don't need a UExcel
4) The $1000 for Study.com would include 10 courses (30cr). I don't know if that gets you through the entire degree or not.

Thanks It's ok. It may be easier for people to help you if your threads were consolidated more. You made 5+ new threads in a short time that all seem related.

How do you consolidate threads other than long posts that are hard to read? I honestly don't use Forums like this very much. I want to help people be able to read my posts better to help me, but, don't want to make them too long.
Thanks

Thanks for the correction. Per your revision above, here is revised cost breakdown. I also double checked the POAG discount policies https://www.excelsior.edu/partner/peace-...f-georgia/. It looks like joining was pointless. Oh well.
The SDC fee was for 5 months @$200 mo entitling student for 2 exams each month. By my calculations, my wife could do the rest of her LL credits for free CLEP at Modern States.
EC Tuition Costs
Multi-source enrollment fee if registered for less than 12 credits per semester $1095
Reduced Student Annual Services fee if POAG member? $225
Graduation fee POAG $495
Information Literacy Course (Davar) $105
Capstone course at $510 credit hour x 3 $1530
Technology fee - Eff date 7/15/19 20 x 3 capstone class $60
Ethics Requirement (Saylor ENVS203) $40
Study.com membership $200 x 5 months (UL/LL credits) $1000
Total $4,550
At this point, it looks like COSC and EC are about the $4500-4600. TESU is at least $6000 for a BALS.
For a totally non-apples to apples comparison, for WGU, she has 12 out of 120 credits at WGU. If she has to take 26 LL business core and GL credits, it look like it would cost about $200-400 if utilizing everything possible for fee CLEP credits and doing several Saylor ($40 = $25 Proctor fee + 15 ACE transcript), SDC, Khan Academy, or low cost options or BA in Marketing Mgmt. In order to keep costs lower than COSC or EC, she would have to do 26 tests/classes in 6 months which is a pretty aggressive schedule for GL/Business Core credits. It then seems like she could do 30 credits (10 courses) in 6 months at WGU. I am guessing, but, I think the costs here would be as follows:
WGU Costs - BA Marketing Mgmt
Tuition per 6 month semester (inc. Resource Fee) $3,370
Cost for 5 courses Saylor Proctor fee $40 x 5 courses $ 200
Total $3,570
Also, I would think she could get a $500 scholarship bringing the cost down to $3,070. Not bad. It is intimidating starting from almost scratch again for her and I am thinking 1 year may be too aggressive for her. She would have to average 1 course/exam per week for 26 weeks or 6 months. If you take advantage of the other CLEP courses, you could still do a BA/BS in Business from $3000-3500 (if getting scholarship) from scratch in about 1-2 years. Awesome!

There aren't many CLEP exams that will work at WGU - not because they don't take CLEP exams, but because the vast majority of any degree there is not covered by a CLEP exam.
I think the best thing to do before contemplating WGU is to see how you do with an aggressive schedule that you set for yourself with the courses you want to bring into the school. If you can't do THOSE courses in a timely manner, then you probably can't complete a WGU degree quickly. I personally was not disciplined enough to do WGU, at least when I was getting my TESU degree. I needed the flexibility to do courses when I wanted to. After my kids graduate from HS, then I MIGHT be able to do it - but no guarantees there. So it's ok if your wife chooses not to do WGU, even if it's the cheapest (which it won't be if she can't commit and get it done in 1 term).
