Hi All,
First time posting in the forum, I'm thinking of taking clep test for HG&D, can anyone that have taken it give me some tips and feedback? I need one science course and thinking that HG&D might be the easier to study than bio or chem. I just took intro to psychology clep last week and got 58/50, was very intensed for my first time. I'm planning to take intro to sociology in a couple weeks then HG&D after that. Is there any better choice than HG&D?

I also wanted to add:
Be careful. Human Growth and Development is not a NATURAL Science, like Biology and Chemistry are. HG&D is a SOCIAL Science like Sociology and Psychology.
You will probably still want to take HG&D anyway.
Some other choices for Natural Science may include the Natural Sciences CLEP, or the Astronomy DSST, or the Geology DSST, etc. Be sure to check your school for which exam options are available to you. Many on this forum have passed the Biology CLEP, so we can help with that, too.

Thanks a lot for clarifying that, now I have to choose between biology and natural sciences. I think chemistry is just too hard and it's been over 10 years since my last science class. Any suggestion?

The Natural Science test is about 50-60% Biology with the rest covering the other various disciplines (chem, geology, whatnot). Many people seem to have a better experience with the NS CLEP after taking the Bio CLEP.
The REA guide may cover everything you'd need for it, but its mainly going to be a matter of taste as far as what you want to absorb for the test.

If I only had to take one, I would choose Biology. It was much easier for me to focus on one subject and go deeper with it than it was to learn about lots of topics for the Natural Sciences CLEP. Just take the time you need to learn the material well; it is a lot of material to cover. Then if you still need to take the Natural Sciences CLEP also, you will have studied 50% of the material already.
