If you're up for it, please consider calling ALEKS and asking them to renew their ACE Evaluation! I'm running a campaign on my Homeschooling for College Credit Facebook page too. Here is the info:

ALEKS is no longer ACE approved for college credit because they did not renew. As of 9/30/2013 any courses completed for college credit will NOT be awarded credit. If you are a user of this curriculum, consider calling them right now. Specifically, ask them to PLEASE RENEW THEIR ACE EVALUATION FOR COLLEGE CREDIT. Call ALEKS: Phone: (714) 245-7191

I tried to call but got the machine, so I sent an email to Biff Baker.

I sent an email requesting any update and specifically mentioned the Intro to Stats in my email. I received a VERY fast reply of:

"I’m very sorry about this problem. We are still working on this question and do not know the answer. It may be to cancel the subscription when you reach the end of the subscription period (unless you think that just using ALEKS will be helpful for the DSST). You can resubscribe at a later time if desired. I’m sorry that we do not have anything more definite to say."

I don't know if this sounds like they are expecting to renew or not. However, as of this morning (10/4) the ACE information is still up on their website. So, that give me hope.

If they don't fix this I am going to demand my money back when my first month subscription is complete. It is basic decency that if you advertise something and don't deliver that you give a refund.

I am hoping that is not necessary.

The people who have current subscriptions should definitely get their money back. However, if this is a business decision, I can't fault them. It would be a smart business decision to forego ACE evaluation if the cost of having ACE evaluation outweighs the extra customers they could possibly attract with that.

Agreed...and I'm a little surprised you feel that way

If it is a business decision then maybe the best strategy is to email ALEKS and cc: The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation who has been providing ALEKS with grants. Maybe the thought of losing that grant money might make them reconsider.

Edit: I just did a little research and this may not work. The Gates Foundation has provided grants to ALEKS in the past, but in March ALEKS was purchased by McGraw-Hill. Now being owned by a big publisher with different priorities may be some of the reason for them not renewing.
