LOL without sounding too masculine, I hate shopping. I know, it must be a gene mutation.

Me too. All of it. Even the hatred of shopping

I can't comprehend why people like cruises either. Buy the umbrella and the bottles of alcohol and sit on the back patio while the kids play in the sprinkler.

I too am avoiding things. Like geometry grading. And looking over a certain 12 yr old son's poetry assignments.

I have a huge glass jug full of pennies that I haven't figured how to take to the bank yet. (who has time to wrap all that?!) and the banks don't accept loose change in bulk. I figure I can teach the kids to play poker with it this afternoon.

Martha, we should SO be friends in real life Smile I have a nice deck and a sprinkler, and extra kids.... Smile

Funny, but our banks won't accept wrapped coins, you have to unwrap them! Strange. Our grocery store has a vending type machine that you dump your jar of coins into the machine then it prints a slip you take to customer service for the cash. They keep 10% for themselves. If I wasn't so cheap, I'd likely try it.

I've been feeling the same...it's the last 20 days of the semester when so many reports are due. I'm dreading grad school and I'm only in my second semester Sad
This past week bedtime was 5 am and I wake up at 10 for class...I have zero patience left and I'm terrified of finals...I have off May 2nd to study for finals which are on May 8th but the problem is that my school gives all the finals on 1 day on the computer...so I have 6 days to study for 7 exams, including anatomy which I hope I don't fail Sad
I just came back on Sunday from Spring break and I'm already sooooo overwhelmed!!!

I have a 20 page paper due May 2nd on a topic I only vaguely am interested in. Finals follow. I'm checking the box. I don't need an A, but I do need a B LOL

Whoa! I am SO guilty of schadenfreude, or however you spell it. Hearing your sad tales makes me feel LOTS better about the finals I have coming up. As long as I pass, the score won't mattter 'cause I'm planning to transfer them to TESC. My (very lame) papers are done. After reading your posts, life is good. Also, Cookderosa and Momofmany, but for the kid thing, we could be the three musketeers. Hate shopping, and cannot get the point of cruising. As to coins, some local credit unions and banks where I live do them for free. Good luck. Now I'll get back to my finance course. You all make me so happy.

I am annoyed because our bank won't take loose bulk change, it wants us to wrap it all, but what do they do? They crack open every one of them and dump them in a machine like you describe. Wtheck is up with THAT? It's just too annoying for me to tolerate. So keeping them is my petty civil defiance. LOL

cookderosa Wrote:Ugh, I tell ya, I just can't get motivated!! I think it's spring fever or something. I hate my current class (well, not all of it, most of it) and have a 20 page paper to write - my motivation is zero. I have my book to finish (not "hard" stuff, but I never seem to have a good opportunity to sit down and rock it out- always a million things get in the way then I hit a wall). Also, I'm so ready for the end of my kid's school year. I told my 17 year old to grade his own test today (lol) and my 7 year old to have his brother grade his math. I know, not the end of the world, but every now and then I just would rather do nothing. Ok, all done whining.

:iagree:

Ha ha ha.. the reason I'm here posting is because my international finance text is just too boring to read. zzzzzz This is week 7 out of 8 and then I get a two week break. I really need it but don't know how I'll make it through the next week and a half.

So I don't really have any words of inspiration other than hang in there and I can totally relate. I have barely even been on the forum because I'm so darn busy. Break cannot come too soon. (too bad there is no break from kids!)

You mean earning 47 degrees in a year is overwhelming!?! Smile Just kidding. I'll tell ya what, I was a millimeter away from dropping this class (deadline tomorrow) but I just got a freaking 100% on my midterm. Man, THAT gives a person a boost. So, keep going. That's all you can do, just keeeeeepppp on going!
